Cogito is partly inspired by a character, Mike (or Mycroft Holmes) from Robert Heinlein's book The Moon Is A Harsh Mistress set in the future where in it Mike is an extremely powerful computer which gains consciousness and helps people who live on the moon fight an oppressive government and try liberate themselves. There was an interesting coincidence because before I read the book, I knew almost nothing about it, but discovered that the book has very prominent libertarian/classical-liberal themes and undertones to it which I found super coincidental because it contained two things which I care very deeply about: 1) Building Cogito/Mike, and 2) Libertarian/free-market vibes. I had the original idea for Cogito just before reading the book, but I distinctly remember after finishing the book feeling that it was such a bizarre coincidence of both topics and timing. Felt very simulation-like to me!

When you and your team work with @trycogito, we want it to feel truly magical, with maximum "wow that was actually amazing" moments. We use the same underlying models most people are used to from Anthropic, OpenAI and xAI etc so we are constrained by the raw intelligence of those models, but where we are different and are focusing on is the context that is fed into the model as you use Cogito. Our assumption is that it's possible to deliver 10x more "wow" moments than what even hardcore AI users are used to with by providing the model with *much* more relevant and useful context as you work with it, and we are seeing some very promising and exciting results in our development testing. One of the things I'm most excited about is that when you talk with Cogito about some information that lives on your Notion or in Linear/Intercom etc, Cogito just immediately knows what you are talking about with deep context and awareness without needing to make any tool calls or do searches and it nails your intent, you get what you want much faster and cheaper than waiting for tool calls or searches, it is starting to feel more magical than what I think most people are used to. If you want to try it, reach out and we'll give you beta access :)

A lot of people ask me how difficult it is to set up and try @trycogito, the answer is it's really quick and easy! Sign up and setup takes less than 2 minutes, and you get $20 free credit: trycogito.ai So after just 2 minutes, you'll have an agent that: - Connects to your Slack/Teams and can work with your entire team over Slack, Email or whatever tool you want, with scoped privacy/permissions. - Builds up a living model and memory of you and your entire team and business to help you get things done, no more cold starts or copy/pasted prompts. - Connects seamlessly and deeply to your tools, both personal tools like your email and calendar, but as well as organization tools like your Notion or Linear or database which your whole team gets access to. - Helps you automate any kind of repetitive task you and your team do. - Continuously learns and deepens its understanding of you and your team and the business, it evolves with you and your team. It becomes the brain and central nervous system of your entire business, and helps your whole team get things done more quickly and automatically. Reach out if you want to call and chat more, or try Cogito here: trycogito.ai

One of the things I'm very excited about with @trycogito is how natural and human-like interacting with it feels. We're building a memory and recall system which automatically injects relevant past context and memory into the agent, and it develops and maintains an evolving "state of mind" just like a human does. So for example when you start speaking with it about something you previously spoke about 2 weeks ago, it just naturally/automatically recalls the past conversation and relevant context, and just picks right up where you left off, without needing any additional tool calls or burning tokens trying to search old messages. The goal is to have it feel just like a super smart, all knowing human with seamless intelligence and memory which makes it so much more useful and fun to work with IMO.

Just refreshed @trycogito's website, gave it some more polish and new comparison pages to show how Cogito is different to other AI tools. Would love any feedback! trycogito.ai

Your company has a way of working. Preferred processes and tools. @trycogito doesn't replace your stack. It connects it securely so that you can be more efficient. Over time, Cogito builds a memory, understands your workflows, and helps you automate work to improve your team's productivity. And if a tool or team member changes, the context is still there and you can keep going. Try Cogito now: trycogito.ai

.@linear is now integrated into @trycogito! Because Cogito integrates deeply into Linear, over and above just ticket and project management, you're able to ask it things like "Let me know when John finishes ticket 438" or "Alert the dev team on @SlackHQ when any urgent bug gets logged." or "Email me whenever any ticket due date changes by more than a week." Cogito can respond and act on events happening in Linear in real time. Next up: Google (pending verification), and @intercom integrations coming later this week! Try it now: trycogito.ai

We just shipped automations in @trycogito. Here's one running right now: every evening, Cogito reads what the team worked on across various tools and writes an end-of-day standup summary. No forms, no standbot, no "what did you do today?" messages. Cogito can now run tasks on a schedule, check in on things, surface what matters, and report back. Without anyone asking. If you want an AI that actually knows your business and can act on it, check out trycogito.ai
