@GalaxyMind @traderb89 @Jason @haralabob @twistartups @vidaio_ Cult mentality is the worst. I hold the token, use the subnets, and I'm building my own. Trust me, there's real merit behind this ecosystem. Decentralized inference and training. Permissionless while encrypted.

I own some and I have for a while. I hope it does well. I’m just very apprehensive of the sudden hype. Especially when it’s led by people who are purely speculative on the token for financial gain. It appears as a great idea but a solution that’s searching for a problem. From my research (I’m not an AI dev) the models seem 3 years behind the frontier models. I do however work with AI devs and none of them seem that interested in TAO due to latency and poor performance compared to other models. Also the token is largely held by a few people right now so I worry they could dump it. Lastly, one of the big critiques of Bitcoin through the years has been that the proof of work used to mine the coin is that it’s useless. TAO “solves” this. However, the uselessness / randomness of the PoW in the bitcoin network prevents manipulation because novodu knows the answer. It’s a guess. TAO has been manipulated before and I understand there are now guardrails in place but these still require human judgement and are therefore is vulnerable to manipulation. I’m very open to being wrong so please educate me. If you’re a legitimate user who ALSO owns the token, I respect it. However this space is full of people who pretend to know what they are talking about with surface level knowledge and a cult like mentality.

@GalaxyMind @traderb89 @Jason @haralabob @twistartups @vidaio_ I'm an AI dev.. and I invest. What do you have against Bittensor? let's talk about it from a technical perspective. Since there's so much financial upside, it inevitably attracts degens.. Ask me technical questions about it. Don't hold back.

@feulf @0xamericanspiri Which hackathon? I was at the SF one. I'll happily explain technical details of how Bittensor works to anyone interested. Say the word.

@0xamericanspiri meh, i was considering investing in TAO, then i participated to a hackathon and i realized how much vaporware it is, it has literally no reason to exists aside from the narrative

"Yeah man decentralized compute and the big guys like Chamath and Jensen Huang are in, you don't want to miss it!" "You just need to read the whitepaper dude" "Pushing τ!" "We're the the next OpenAI except it's Canadian." Send this shit to fucking zero already. $TAO 🤮

Preparing a talk for #Bittensor #Breakout in SF (@bt_commons ). The topic... "State of Bittensor and how we capitalize and become a household name." The honest answer? We earn it the same way every technology platform did. Not through the protocol, but through the products built on top of it. Get your tickets here: luma.com/v5ujk0gv

Bittensor isn't an AI network. It's a marketplace where useful, compute-oriented commodity production gets rewarded. AI sits at its core, but it's not the whole product. Storage (@hippius_subnet ). RPC infrastructure (@blockmachine_io ). Video processing (@vidaio_ ). The "decentralized AI" headline describes a feature... not the whole story. Also highlights that I don't have any machine learning qualifications. 🫣
