@stephbastiaan @RANZCP RANZCP is correctly against conversion therapy. A 'therapy' even conversion therapists themselves admit doesn't work. A 'therapy' proven to cause serious harm, all too often fatal. Why do you advocate for a 'therapy' proven not to work and cause harm?

The purpose of @RANZCP is to set standards that protect patients - including some of our most vulnerable children. That responsibility requires a professional body where contested evidence can be examined openly, rigorously, and without prejudice. Last month, the RANZCP suspended Dr Amos for raising legitimate concerns about medical gender interventions on minors. Today, they forcibly removed senior psychiatrist, Dr Jillian Spencer @Jilliantweeting, simply for attending the conference and asking why. At the same time, they hosted a morning tea celebrating their alliance with the political ‘Pride’ movement - a deliberate signal about where they stand. This is not a college capable of holding frank, evidence-led conversations in one of the most clinically urgent areas of Australian medicine. NHS England and health authorities across Scandinavia have already revised their guidelines on paediatric gender medicine based on emerging evidence. Australia is well behind and RANZCP appears unwilling to even have a conversation. Incredibly frustrating. Patients deserve a college that prioritises evidence over forced consensus, and safety over virtue signalling.

This morning, I silently held up a sign at the @RANZCP Congress during the keynote speech. Security pushed me over, dragged me out, and cancelled my conference registration. @RANZCP CEO, Damian Ferrie, told me my sign counted as ‘advertising’ so wasn’t allowed. As a conservative, why should I care? She and her ilk, are miliitantly anti capitalist, anti men, anti logic, and anti emipical data. She is the bulk of the overweight of centre left women who will be unwed and childless in a mere 20years. She is a part of the "white collar idealists" who will be replaced by AI in the workplace in less than 20 years.
