@QuentinFry I am enjoying it in that context. Albo and Burke thought they had the "Islamic community" in the bag after all their blatant pandering, and it just blew up in their faces.

@undefinedhandle I don't disagree re: victim complex...but I do enjoy the fact that they called Albo on his BS. 😅 It's purely for show and he deep down obviously knows he isn't one of them/shares their views. Same as heterosexual politicians marching in Mardi Gras. Fuck off.

@OnSpeculator Nowhere else to go really. NSW coastal towns are mid and Syd too expensive. Forget Perth and Adelaide

Breaking: Wild scenes at Lakemba Mosque. @AlboMP and @Tony_Burke threatened by worshippers. Their bodyguards - only wearing socks - visibly nervous. The speaker attacks the government, @PaulineHansonOz and refers to Gaza with no mention of October 7.

A Melbourne man has been charged over an alleged international car theft syndicate targeting high-end Toyotas. Police say the group stole more than 200 vehicles worth over $20 million across Victoria and Queensland, shipping them to the United Arab Emirates for profit. Detectives allege the syndicate hacked onboard vehicle computers, then hid the cars in shipping containers bound for export via the Port of Melbourne. @3AW693

@ShowerCapAM @bowtiedstocks lol coming home to which job? if they're magically working remotely for their Dubai job, that's not a permanent arrangement and certainly wouldn't buy on that basis

People were asking me what is going to cause our housing bubble to pop They couldn’t see a ‘catalyst’ Would you agree war in the Middle East, AI job losses, bond yields ripping and oil going to $200 could perhaps deliver that ‘catalyst’ ?? Oh but I couldn’t see it 6 months ago… My sweet summer child

@ausnotes @bowtiedstocks I've seen it before too. it gets cash flowing, but they likely aren't considering the hidden costs of depreciation and deferred maintenance on the vehicle.

People will do what they can to keep their home. The smart people are acting early before others do it and can get a buffer. Gig economy work like food and driving can net many drivers a good $300-800 on a good weekend. The issue isn't the pay, it's the tax they'll have with a full time job.

Lately when ordering food delivery many cars have been high end vehicles such as Land Rovers, BMWs and what not. Interesting times ahead if people are doing deliveries after full time work to pay off the higher rates.

Where is the outage? Today the demonic Islamic regime executed 3 young men. Their crime was “moharebe”, enmity against God. One of those was Saleh Mohammadi, a wrestling champion. He had just turned 19 a few days ago. Arrested 2 months ago and killed today. His real crime? Demanding basic freedoms.

@QuentinFry Amazing how Trump very openly tried to corrupt the Fed and rates for political gain and still couldn’t do it. ALP and RBA made it look like a cakewalk.

@undefinedhandle Pretty crazy the 🦗🦗 from a lot of media last year, the RBA cutting rates it just so happens a month before the Federal election (😮) with trimmed mean inflation still far north of target band. A *big* factor in the ALP reversing polling woes. All a 'mistake' in hindsight. 🙄

like most government, quasi-government, ‘peak bodies’, etc in Australia, the RBA is incompetent and compromised. just look up the bios of the monetary policy board members

The panicked posts on this website are disturbing. Normal and (I assume) reasonably intelligent people are stirring themselves into a frenzy of doom. The best advice I can give them is to unplug for a while. Go outside and get on with it.

@Wazz81 @PilotPoli Cancelling contracts just because the global price has spiked up and you want to make more money is a sure-fire way to costing yourself far more in the long run.
