❤️ I love the potential of Cardano. That’s why Upstream is still here, running our SPO infrastructure and maintaining our set of useful tools. 🤝 We invested early in bare metal infrastructure and ring-fenced roughly 10 years running costs when we had meaningful delegations from FEs like @Cardano_CF and @IOGroup and some beautiful community whales back in the early days. 🔁 We receive rewards, convert to fiat or increase our pledge if we can, and operate as a profitable UK limited company. The directors original investments paid back long ago and our runway is still long. 💸 When funding is available we organise events and host community summits with great historical success, keeping the community connected in person. Recently these avenues of funding have closed or become sparse with little desire for in person meet ups or the community summits. 💰 As a tiny pool today we generate about $100 a month in SPO rewards. And so we resell hosting and api access to a few clients needing data access and a managed service that they can request custom data structures to meet their needs. ~~~~~~~~~~ 💧Delegate to Upstream - managing our rewards, infrastructure and in person events is what we do best, your delegation enables us to do more 💪

Leios, node diversity, and new DSLs for smart contracts might be cool, but we can't ignore the fact that infrastructure and tech development is useless without users. We don't get users without things for them to do (services/applications) and without advertising to let them know those services and applications exist. Anything else is just technological masturbation. A chain capable of a gabillion transactions per second and instant finality without users is useless. Everything's a balance, spend and invest accordingly.

Delegate to Upstream, and enable small Cardano pools like us to be more effective in the ecosystem 💪 Our power comes from delegations, and we do a lot with a little. Imagine what we can do with just one million delegation! We produced our scheduled block this epoch. Small pools produce consistent blocks with a regular cadence, don’t be fooled into only delegating to large pools 😉🤝

Can we please change the term "drep"? 😭😭😭 My autocorrect replaces it with the most wild terms 😭😭 So far I've seen - dress - drop - deep - prep - step - ... Can we use normal terminology? 😭

Cardano pays devs 250k a year, and the creators that bring new demand to the chain 300 a month. This isn't going well.

@UKLabour are trying to force digital ID on UK citizens … a gross misuse of power, for something the people have openly opposed since the dark ages of Tony Blair 20 years ago. We do not want it, your paper man can stay where he is. “My ministers will proceed with the construction of digital ID” - Charles (king) It’s currently “optional” - refuse it, write your MP and oppose it. Those who give up their freedom for convenience deserve neither. 👇 This will happen in the UK the moment digital IDs are forced on you …
J.K. Lunden@Jklunden

🚨 BREAKING: France’s Digital ID System Hacked—Sensitive Data of 19 Million Citizens Now Sold on the Dark Web France’s centralized digital identity platform, operated by France Titres (formerly ANTS), suffered a major breach on April 15, 2026. Hackers stole records affecting roughly one-third of the French population and started auctioning them on dark web forums. The exposed database contains: • Full names • Email addresses and phone numbers • Dates and places of birth • Postal addresses • Unique government account IDs This information gives criminals powerful tools for identity theft, phishing campaigns, synthetic identities, and large-scale financial fraud. The system manages passports, national ID cards, driver’s licenses, residency permits, and vehicle registrations. Officials confirmed no biometric photos or uploaded documents were taken, but the core personal data is now circulating. Hackers operating under aliases like “breach3d” and “ExtaseHunters” posted the massive dump soon after the intrusion. French authorities acknowledged the security incident and are notifying affected individuals, though the sheer scale makes rapid alerts challenging. France has seen multiple major government data breaches recently, including student records via ÉduConnect, bank account details, and medical information. Centralized systems handling vast amounts of linked personal data create high-value targets that attract persistent attackers. Action steps if you’re in France or have connections there: • Closely monitor all financial and government accounts • Strengthen 2FA on every service • Stay alert for phishing attempts impersonating official agencies • Consider credit monitoring or freezes where available French authorities detained a 15-year-old suspect on April 25 in connection with the breach. The teenager is believed to have operated under the alias “breach3d” and offered between 12 and 18 million records for sale on hacking forums. Prosecutors in Paris have opened a formal investigation into the minor on computer crime charges. The full story is still unfolding as more details emerge about how the breach occurred and the exact scope of the exposure. This incident highlights the profound dangers of centralized digital ID systems. When governments consolidate citizens’ most sensitive personal information into single, internet-connected databases, they create massive single points of failure. One successful hack can expose millions instantly, turning everyday personal details into weapons for widespread fraud and surveillance. As nations push for broader digital ID adoption, this breach serves as a stark reminder that convenience and control come at the steep price of heightened vulnerability for entire populations.

CF is uninspiring and antithetical to core ethos that brough many to Cardano. They built a private enterprise consultancy firm from genesis money, have 600 btc on the books, and have no real focus on actually progressing the Cardano ecosystem beyond asking the treasury for funds to support their Cardano community work … lame At least the EF actually mention growing the community …

One observation becoming increasingly difficult to ignore is that the global correspondent banking system, long assumed to be neutral infrastructure, is revealing itself to be deeply political infrastructure. The system has historically functioned on trust, bilateral relationships, and access granted by institutions sitting at key junctions of global finance. That model works — until access itself becomes contingent. The moment financial rails can be expanded, restricted, or revoked based on geopolitical alignment, every treasury, institution, and nation must begin asking a different question: not simply whether they are compliant today, but whether the infrastructure they depend on remains durable tomorrow. This is where blockchain-based settlement infrastructure becomes strategically important. Not because it replaces the existing financial system overnight, but because it introduces parallel rails governed by transparent rules, open standards, and deterministic execution rather than discretionary access. In Austrian economic terms, this matters profoundly. Markets function best when participants can rely on stable rules, predictable settlement, and credible neutrality. Economic coordination breaks down when access to the monetary plumbing itself becomes politicized. What blockchain introduces is not merely efficiency. It introduces optionality and resilience. An open settlement layer such as Cardano allows value transfer, asset issuance, and financial coordination to operate on verifiable infrastructure that is auditable in real time, globally accessible, and jurisdictionally interoperable by design. The significance is not ideological. It is institutional. The broader opportunity for blockchain is therefore not speculation. It is the creation of neutral, resilient, and transparent financial infrastructure capable of supporting global commerce when traditional systems become increasingly fragmented by politics and geography.

The 1000 cardano:native Proposal Fee @IntersectMBO & @IntersectCBC implemented to submit a budget request to the treasury ✅IS✅ or ❌IS NOT❌ Constitutional? How many of the "TENETS" does this requirement not uphold, ignore, or disregard? Do these actions meet requirements in the By-Laws, Membership Agreement, and Code of Conduct? Repost and tag your DREP and the Cardano Blockchain Ecosystem Constitutional Committee(s) and its/their members if these items are of concern. Yes, the reduction of spam proposals is very important. There are other ways to achieve this without placing a financial burden any stakeholders. COC Page is broken BTW. docs.intersectmbo.org/legal/policies…
