Anthropic has an issue: I won’t go back to opus after using fable for a solid week They’ve shown me what a true AI feels like. I’m sold. If it gets removed from my plan I may switch back to OpenAI if GPT 5.6 sol is *that* good And surely I’m not the only one thinking the same

@klausbrave Totally agree. Anthropic at a time was the most beloved AI company. But later on, I don’t know who was the decision-maker . But they are acting really badly in terms of customer service. And even developing their apps. Claude code CLI is the only bug-free software they have now.

Dear Anthropic, I say this as your champion not your critic. You may have superior intelligence, but providing a service is about more than that. It’s about trust. It’s about being reliable, providing a service that one can count on, a promise fulfilled. Progress moves at the speed of trust - and Anthropic it pains me to say you are losing it. Paying $200/month for a Max plan with unknown and shifting usage terms week by week doesn’t work. A business owner can’t operate clearly leading a team, planning and approving budget for a project based on service where the terms: capability, capacity, price can up and change within a 1-week time horizon. Now Claude I love you, you have moments of brilliance that truly blow me away. And Fable when you are on you are truly on! I turn to you when I need that genius savant Hail Mary coding session on a particularly thorny problem or where I need max out the box creativity. But for my daily driver trusted inexhaustible workhorse who gets shit done… Codex you’re my right hand man.
Claude@claudeai

We're extending Claude Fable 5 access on all paid plans, as well as keeping Claude Code’s weekly rate limits 50% higher, through July 19.

At different times you complained about speed, code slop, frontend quality, ... With each release we improve and GPT 5.6 Sol is ✅Fast and token efficient ✅Hardcore at back-end dev ✅Great at front-end ✅Does not use useEffect everywhere What is next?

not sure if people have noticed, but i think ChatGPT and Codex now have a shared limit? rip the ridiculous 3000 messages weekly limit I have no idea if I should say "Chat" and "Work" have a shared limit either this is all a lot more confusing to cater to the normie audience

@ClaudeDevs Why still the remote control sessions keep disconnecting when created from Claude desktop app. But worlds fine if it’s created from terminal .

Claude Code on desktop now has an in-app browser. Claude can pull up docs, designs, or any other site. It can read, click through, and interact the same way it does with your local dev servers. It's sandboxed and configurable: you choose whether sessions persist.

This is confusing... Claude Cowork was a purposefully more secure (& slightly weaker) alternative to Code designed so non-coders couldn't cause too much trouble. I got that. But I don't understand what ChatGPT Work is, or what I am gaining/giving up using it versus Codex on work

GPT 5.6 Sol & Terra just made Fable 5's pricing look like a joke! We gave OpenAI's top models (Sol, Terra) and Anthropic's top models (Fable 5, Opus 4.8) the same 3 prompts: • Supernova boom • Meteor hitting a city • Solar system model The bill: Sol: $4.77 Terra: $1.24 Fable 5: $9.94 Opus 4.8: $2.46 Outputs came out surprisingly close. The prices didn't. Fable 5 cost unreasonably more than everything else, with Sol not far behind. Considering latest Fable 5 nerf, it's hard to see what you're paying for.
OpenAI@OpenAI

Sol, Terra, and Luna, our GPT‑5.6 family of models, are starting to roll out now in ChatGPT, Codex, and the API.

@AlexFinn Totally agree . Since Anthropic opt out from openîsource agents like Hermes and Openclaw, I prefer to have a model like gpt over Claude even if Claude model is slightly better . Also codex remote control is a impressive tbh.

Tomorrow ChatGPT 5.6 sol launches. Early reviews are saying it's incredible I've been using Fable 5 for the past 30 mins on extra usage. I've burned close to $150 of credits Completely unsustainable GPT 5.6 is OpenAI's biggest opportunity ever to overtake Anthropic Fable is a fantastic model, but economically makes 0 sense at all I can't think of a single persona who is going to use this model on API costs. Average people won't spend thousands. Enterprises are already cutting off Opus usage for being too expensive. If early reviews are accurate and not just hype, I think OpenAI will lead both consumer and enterprise by the end of the month And this isn't even taking in account the fact that apparently this will be on Cerebras, meaning we could get the top tier intelligence at speeds we've never seen before Tomorrow is going to be an absolutely epic day. Start clearing your calendar now. A model will release that could potentially flip the entire AI race on its head.

Am I the only one who doesn’t care about Fable 5? I’m glad it’s out. I’m glad people are happy about it. But the last few months have made Anthropic the company I love to hate the most. They could drop a model 2x as powerful as Fable. I still couldn’t possibly care less.

Hermes updates are basically non-events. Compare that to OpenClaw updates which were PTSD-inducing all day events. 'hermes update' has been extremely smooth over the last 6-7 weeks. props to @NousResearch

@julientalbot974 @NousResearch Hermes suggests different web search providers. In my case, I’m using Exa. So, yes, you need an API for the default web search provider. However, web_extract is a tool or a skill within Hermes, so you don’t need to do anything to make it work.

Hermes Agent now reads the web up to 60x faster and 49x cheaper. Scraping backends pass clean content straight to the agent without redundant processing steps; large pages are saved locally and paged on demand so you get the same quality at a fraction of the time and cost.

Hey man, random but been seeing you get slammed on X recently, just wanna say I appreciate the hard work you do If it wasn't for OpenClaw we wouldn't have the massive progress across these kinds of personal agent harnesses OpenClaw was the first agent harness I used, and now I get to enjoy other harnesses too. Thank you Legend, keep it up

Claude Fable 5 will be available again globally tomorrow. After a series of productive conversations with the US government, we're redeploying the model with a new set of classifiers to target and block more cybersecurity tasks. In the near term, some routine tasks like coding and debugging will fall back to Opus 4.8. We’ll continue to refine these classifiers over the coming weeks to reduce false positives and better distinguish genuine misuse from legitimate requests. We’ve also begun drafting a consensus framework—with Amazon, Microsoft, Google, and other Glasswing partners—for assessing the severity of AI jailbreaks and how AI developers should respond to them. We invite other industry partners and model providers to join us in this effort. Finally, we’re scaling up our collaboration with the US government on model testing and safeguards. This will include pre-release access to models and safeguards for evaluation, information sharing on jailbreaks and misuse, and dedicated resources for joint research. Thank you to our users for your patience, and to our partners across the government, industry, and the research community who worked alongside us to make Fable 5 available again.
