On Valentine’s Day 36 years ago, Carl Sagan requested NASA to turn Voyager 1's camera back toward home for one last look. From 3.7 billion miles away, Voyager captured this image. Here is how Carl Sagan described it: “Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it, everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor, and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every 'superstar,' every 'supreme leader,' every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there — on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam. @flyscoot The return flight TR978 the next day back was fantastic. The crew was brilliant and on point. Very professional. You should however reconsider charging for water - that seems a bit much given it wasn’t bottled water, but in glasses? Never had that experience before.

When parents literally mortgage their houses, land or sell off jewellery to fund their ‘preparation in Kota’ coz there is no education loan for preparation, it builds that pressure on the kids. When your kid becomes your only hope to pull you out of poverty or a debt trap, and the kid knows it. They take that extreme step. When there is this extreme stress of proving to be an asset than a liability one year longer. They take that extreme step. In almost all last letters they always apologise to their parents. It’s just heartbreaking. Work hard yourself. Don’t expect your kids to change your fortune.

There is no Parle G biscuits on the train station anywhere. The vendor tells me that there is no supply from company. I feel they don't keep because of low margin. Also, I guess some vendors get the license as book stall and keep nominal 8-10 books to showcase.

Finally on board a Vande Bharat. In India the switch is so drastic, one moment you are on a humid, paan infested platform with ugly looking overbridges, and the next moment you are in a swanky train with pencil nose, business class legroom & a Type C charging point. Much like India’s recent growth. Happy to see a great train travel experience. Vande Bharat. Vande Mataram. 🙏

@vizagobelix Debt MF will have higher ROI & so more attractive. Tax wise makes sense to bring it at par with other low volatility instruments. Will also drive up uptake of good quality Bonds/ FD, boosting capitalisation. This will in turn drive (hopefully) more aggressive lending.
