@KirstieMAllsopp 100% love this thread, 4 years ago I was judged and classed as “one of those” for requesting a c-section and I was forced into 4 hypno sessions to convince me to have a “normal” birth … I finally got my request for a c-section after 5 months of stress/anxiety and worry!

when my back to back, 11lb 11oz baby failed to engage. Afterwards so many people said “poor you, you never got to give birth” or “maybe you got the wrong advice?” or similar idiotic statements. That was when I became aware of current birth politics and the damage it does.

@catherineroyuk I am grateful for many things in my life, but most of all for the fact that I was working so hard in the run up to birth No1 that I attended no classes, had I been brainwashed into being anti C-section as so many are I might not have taken the advice to have one
