>be Chinese citizen >you rent a house for your family >invest in apartment bc the government says it will appreciate in value >get labeled “homeowner” >value plummets >you lose your investment and now have an apartment no one wants >leftists celebrate this

Ford CEO Jim Farley: We should not let Chinese EVs into the US. Jim himself drove a Chinese Xiaomi Su7 and has been to China 6-7 times a year. He said, "It's the most humbling thing I've ever seen. They have far superior in-vehicle tech." Can't win, so they ban.

The Chinese Civil War, rocket science & the JPL, ROC history, and more. My latest vlog at the Military Museum of the Chinese People's Revolution (it's a mouthful, lol) in Beijing 🎥 The Soviet-aesthetic museum is a prominent, comprehensive national institution in Beijing dedicated to Chinese military history, weaponry, and the development of the PLA. It's the only large-scale, comprehensive military history museum in China. It houses an extensive collection of over 340,000 cultural relics, including ancient armaments, modern military technology, aircraft, tanks, and missiles. Its halls cover various eras, ranging from ancient dynastic warfare to modern revolutionary struggles. An interesting spot worth visiting even if you are not a military history/tech nerd.

If buying a $25K Chinese EV with 350 miles of range and 100% charging in 5 minutes means China tracking me then sign me up I prefer China spies me in my cheap yet great EV than the US spying me in my plastic filled $60K Ford that breaks down every 200 miles

I can’t believe I stopped using Claude Code max and entirely use DeepSeek and Hermes. It’s so fast, so so fast, 3x faster for the same task. So cheap. I spent $5 last week and never need worry about being rate limited or usage hit limits very two hours. For most tasks it’s perfect enough.

CHINA JUST DREW A LINE ON AI A court in China has ruled it ILLEGAL to replace human workers with AI purely to cut costs. They have put responsibility back on corporations. They can’t automate just to boost margins while workers are pushed out. China has decided that wages, fairness, and employment aren’t optional. And that’s a big shift. While the west races to replace labour as fast as possible, viewing AI as a free-for-all… China has set a precedent that profit alone isn’t enough and corporations must answer to society.

I knew this. China doesn’t allow it freely as a Western country would, but it also doesn’t see it as dangerous enough to ban outright. The government manages it selectively. “Allowed” doesn’t mean unrestricted: It is not heavily promoted Has academic or niche circulation Translations may be curated or limited Availability can vary by region or time If a book suddenly became politically sensitive, it could disappear quickly. ************************************* Now answer my actual question. Just do a simple search on Amazon or go to a local library system. Oh, and I took Das Kapital out of my local library in 1972, followed by the Manifesto. I've been a lifelong hater of Communism because I not only researched it, but I have also had relationships with people who fled it and also hate it because they had to live under it. Unlike the US, China's government censors things it feels will embolden it's people to reject totalitarian rule.

China’s new official obsession: Getting people to read more books. In February, China passed a new regulation to build more public reading facilities and spaces. In April, China had its first-ever national reading week. State media encourages people to put down their phones and pick up a book. President Xi wants China to become a “cultural powerhouse” by 2035, and says the revival of reading is one of its pillars. Xi quotes Mao saying, “One can go a day without eating, a day without sleeping, but not a day without reading.” In 1949, less than 20% of China's population was literate. Today it's approaching 99%. When one of the most tech-focused countries in the world says that a population of book readers is vital to their future, we should all take note.

@PatCDev @Hedgeye Unbelievable cope lmao. The Chinese government aided and abetted relentless speculation in real estate for decades which now results in the destruction of its people’s wealth. Nobody in China would call this “good news” but retards in the west sure will.
