@SkrepSkrip @BobMurphyEcon @CapoD4L3554ndr0 @NSKinsella I don’t think that is accurate. @NSKinsella was to me the most neutral among the radical libertarians, one of the few who morally/legally sided against Russia (while also clarifying that Americans had no financial or military obligation or interest in the conflict.

@willyfm41 @ColeyMick But the system itself is not 100.00% accurate. It has a margin of error. So why is it overturning original calls that it knows are within its own margin of error?

@ColeyMick No I’d explain why it’s a stupid argument to keep making. No matter what the frame of reference is there is going to be a specific point between a ball and a strike, regardless of what graphic is on the screen. The whole point is to remove subjectivity…

@AlterraBT @Os_poems There is also the issue of the system having a margin of error and if you can’t prove beyond the margin of error, then the original call should stand.

@Os_poems There is a line. It’s the rectangle border you see there. And guess what. If f the ball touches it, it’s a strike

@buuternuts @harmless_human @Geiger_Capital One of the main actual benefits of citizenship (say above being a mere Legal Resident), is the right to return. Why are you assuming ‘living in the US?’ The entire issue at hand is giving citizenship at birth. People can move.

Justice Alito once again nails it… If a Chinese or Iranian person enters our country illegally and has a child here, their child is automatically a citizen of that foreign nation, and is even required to fight for that nation. How are they not "subject to" a foreign nation?

@JohnkGK @buctober2026 @MVPrielipp But then the point is that this 2D zone is a bit arbitrary, and then Turning around and saying that a call is over turned because 1mm of a ball touched the 2D zone doesn’t make a lot of sense. The only thing that you can say for ABS is that it’s consistent within itself.

@buctober2026 @MVPrielipp they tried that and everyone besides pitchers hated it and fans thought it was wrong b/c it meant that pitches could bounce on the plate and still be a strike pitchers were too good at that and it made games ass to watch and the 2d zone is more accurate to how its actually called

This post does not debunk a single thing that I said. Not one.
Mersen@mersen

On a recent @joerogan episode, @ComicDaveSmith talked about misinformation on Iran, but ended up spreading several misleading and one-sided claims. As an Iranian, I fact-checked just 3 minutes of what he said and it was already disappointing. Here’s a breakdown 🧵

@Deicide0201 @TheGrandZero Bakersfield had its own scene and sound. CCR was not a part of the Bakersfield sound. They sang about cotton fields and bayous. And sang in a southern accent.

Per tonight’s broadcast, Italy vs PR was the first time ever a baseball game has been nationally televised in Italy. Hype and visibility means a lot, especially at an impressionable age. After Olympic years, we always see a huge jump in swim team sign ups for age group kids.

Vinnie Pasquantino on a message to a kid in Italy who is watching now: “look how much fun we’re having. … in 20 years we want this team to be full of guys who are from Italy.”

@alison_renner The only issue is that it was televised at 1 am, but for the Italian television is already a success that the baseball made it, not even the few victory at the European championship or the game at Olympics were shown on rai (the Italian tv)

Just spoke to a friend in Italy. “4 AM in the morning so many Italian kids watching this game dreaming one day a future in WBC. That's the Victory, the whole team must be proud.” Exactly right … that’s what this is about. It’s not about one game, or one tournament… It’s about how a group of men had the power to inspire a nation. Now the real work begins to capitalized on the moment … and I’m here for it all. Forza. 🇮🇹 #WBC

@305DOMI @JomboyMedia Today’s starting pitcher was born in Verona and played in Italy until he was 19, then signed for the Phillies and has been mostly in minors ever since other than a cup of coffee in the Show in 2024. There are 4 other players who play in the Italian baseball league on the team.

@JoshuaParkhurst @iJordanMoore Even without the Baseball Ireland restrictions. Ireland is not as generous compared to Italy about ‘Eligibility for Citizenship’ - you’re not going to qualify through great-grandparents or further back like you used to be able to in Italy until recent changes.

@iJordanMoore Your tweet led me to look this up. Apparently Baseball Ireland limits the number of dual citizens that can be on the team. Even though WBC doesn't require citizenship in a country. Eligibility for citizenship is enough. They're leaving a lot of talent behind that way.

Why doesn’t Ireland have a baseball team? Italy just grabbed a bunch of guys from Jersey and called it a national roster. Ireland could walk through Southie in Boston on a Saturday and field a full lineup by noon.

@ARmastrangelo “English slur?” No, it’s a word that is repeated dozens of times in many rap songs. If it’s so bad, why is this music played in gyms and restaurants?

Amico, you encountered someone speaking Italian in a country where everyone speaks Japanese and thought you heard an English slur. Did it not occur to you, for even a second, that perhaps you could’ve misunderstood something? lol.

No great story exists without adversity. The struggle, the setbacks, that’s where growth happens. Stop wishing for an easy path. The hard moments separate the ones who want it from the ones who go get it. Embrace the grind. That’s how greatness is built. #EmbraceTheGrind
