@aripap @eric_seufert lol @OSchiffey has mentioned that for a long time our privacy coverage was a huge ratings loser. Thought about stopping but @zachrodgers called it 'take your medicine journalism' and it started paying off after some years.

The regulatory developments in the EU related to data privacy will have foundational repercussions on the digital landscape. Enormously consequential. Yet the topic is an absolute ratings loser. When I write about it, engagement is significantly lower than in any other subject.
