@LauzonDenise@OAlexanderDK@elonmusk@21xsara And you think you're qualified to judge musk as confused??? I doubt you even comprehend the magnitude of what he has to deal with
The atomic wallet hack of this weekend was one of the biggest hacks in the history of crypto — again proving my conviction that we are far away from feasible, decentralized finance. #Defi We need to solve the #cybersecurity problem first.
With centralized exchanges collapsing and unhosted wallets being hacked, the obvious choice is responsible transparent platforms with 24/7 cybersecurity ops like @UpholdInc
The losses from the @AtomicWallet hack so far
@zachxbt .@Malwarebytes are y'all onto this? Rumors are swirling that it was a supply chain hack and malware somehow got into the wallet client on certain OS
Some things to note about this hack.
Largest single victim I have observed is for 2.8M USDT. Multiple other losses for 6 figures across different chains.
Thanks to all of the victims who have messaged me their transaction hash. The root cause is still tbd.
@WuBlockchain Based on the Twitter comments, it appears that not only desktop users who installed from the website have become victims, but the iOS and Android apps have also been compromised.
Atomic Wallet stated that it has received reports of wallets being compromised and is making every effort to investigate and analyze the situation.
SlowMist said that considering that the official website has just undergone a major version update, it may be a supply chain attack (hackers tamper with the software source code on the server for ordinary users to download). x.com/atomicwallet/s…
@MBerger47@zerohedge@LawrenceLepard No. The less here is that average, honest and hard-working people get persecuted under a microscope while criminals run free. On a long enough timeline, it appears wealth flows into the hands of the criminally-insane.
Liz Warren's "crypto army" is out targeting bitcoin (market cap of $500BN) for illicit money transfers, and laundering, meanwhile the Pentagon can only account for 39% of its $3.5 trillion in assets and racked up $35 trillion in accounting changes in just one year
@gladkos We are absolutely fuming that funds have been stolen from our wallet via atomic wallet. We even had a new wallet created after doing a swap. When we funds be reissued? #hack#atomicwallet#stolenfunds
