@mcuban Its just a matter of time all these apps get replaced. A financial app is just integrations and pretty dashboard, nothing special, this took longer than I expected.

If you want to take your child out of a public school, and that school was going to spend $13,000 on your student per year, you should get the full $13,000.

@theo Worst part of Mercury is if your company actually moves large amounts of money regularly. Literally need to get permission to send wires all the time.

Mercury is the single “product” that has improved my life the most. I have always hated banks, invoicing platforms, and corporate cards. They make all of these things so incredibly easy. I haven’t had to open QuickBooks in over a year now. They do not pay me. I am genuinely just this hyped on them. The only catch is that you’ll hate every bank you use after trying Mercury. If you need a “bank” for your business, I can’t recommend Mercury highly enough.

Our developer suite just got a new addition: Mercury CLI.

@NatePickens @politicalmath All collections ultimately need to enforced at court and with lawyers and unless the debt is hefty it just gets resold forever until the statue of limitations passes

@GenFlynn @RepLuna Congress should be held at the same or even higher standard than the military. The officer that did this might have put military lives at risk, but Congress puts the whole country at risk.

Congresswoman @RepLuna , I respect your logic but for those who serve in the military, especially this individual, we hold ourselves to a much higher standard than those in Congress. Congress should not get away with insider trading nor should you hold office forever (ie., term limits). But this service member placed military lives at severe risk with his foolish decisions. He should be and likely will be considered for courts-martial and very severe punishment under the UCMJ—a system of government that is wholly different than what we have in our civilian society. It actually holds people accountable and it is generally very fair. @SecWar @SeanParnellASW
Rep. Anna Paulina Luna@RepLuna

Maybe not a popular take but I am calling for this guy to be pardoned. Unless the DOJ plans on going after all the crooks in congress currently insider trading, this is simply skewed justice. There is no “justice” when guys like this get the book thrown at him yet members are illegally profiting every day. I don’t agree with what he did and he should be required to disgorge all the profits however, unless the DOJ plans on doing Congress next, this is not justice.

You can travel to Italy, but you’ll never be an Italian. You can travel to France but you’ll never be a Frenchman. You can live in Germany but you’ll never be a German. You can pack your bags and live the rest of your life in China or Japan, but you’ll never be Chinese or Japanese. Yet you can come from any one of those countries to the United States of America, and you can still be an American – so long as you work hard, you play by the rules, you make your contributions, wait your turn, pledge allegiance to the flag, and obtain your citizenship.

Tomorrow I sign a plea deal with the government for my role in organic baby formula. I have a lot of stuff to say, a lot of emotions, and I’m at a severe crossroads in my life. Sigh 😔 Think it’s time to close up for a bit. ❤️ 🙏

@galluzzo_julian @Lawrence_sticks @SimonHoiberg Clerk is easier if from the beginning you just use it for auth and don't use the roles and orgs as source of truth. That's what I did, I just use it for the seamless auth, but role resolution and organizations are at the db.

@Lawrence_sticks @SimonHoiberg yeah I feel like it is. Vercel is the easiest, Clerk/Supabase are harder to migrate but you absolutely can. It'll take some time, sure... but you saved time by using the services to begin with

"Just use Vercel." "Just use Supabase." "Just use Clerk." Cool. Now your auth, database, and deployment are owned by 3 different companies who can change pricing whenever they want. And the rest of your product is wrapping OpenAI. At some point you have to ask yourself: what do I actually own here?

It’s really important that @RepMariaSalazar loses her next election. Republicans must be punished for betrayal like this. It’s the only way the others learn.

@Cernovich Can someone explain to me like I'm 5 years old, how this gay fuck Lindsay manages to influence Trump to this level? I don't get it.

If you think the neocons will let Trump end the war, think back to Covid. Trump locked the country down and then let the riots burn cities down. Lindsey will call the tune again.

@jacob_posel @bcherny @claudeai Has your performance degraded, like reasoning performance. I have noticed a significant drop in reasoning, stops in the middle of plan executions for no reason whatsoever and its ability to solve issues is very degraded. I'm on Max plan too.

Hey @bcherny @claudeai I'm on the $200/mo plan and blowing through usage instantly. Doesn't feel right. Is there any way to audit my account? Unfortunately I have experienced several bugs with the Claude product and I fear my plan configuration is not correct. Thanks

This Ricardo guy is making propaganda for the cuban regime, i hope someone investigates his ass. There is nothing private in Cuba. The government can seize any of those pymes at any time for any reason or no reason at all, and if they are allowed to do anything is because the government benefits directly from it

Because the trades are very very heavy in human nuances, its not tighting a bolt. Its a compilation of past experience, extremely outdated technological infrastructure, very dominated by big massive corporations that are not technological in itself and would not benefit from AI. Also technicians in the field deal with unpredictable circumstances 90% of the time, they have to deal with the old house, the new house, the different styles of installations. Its too much of complex variability to have an AI take over. AI systems thrive on predictability and scalability, and trades have none of that
