@RichPerry4 I think is it emergent behavior. It is trained on 10B miles, so it has "seen" these scenarios many times. One thing I didn't say in the original post is my car is setup to automatically open the garage as we approach, so it always get the "clue" when it pulls in the driveway.

I have put white tape on my garage floor which hasn’t worked. I did have “driveway” set for the parking option. I couple of days ago, I had opened the garage door and the car saw the tape and pulled in! I couldn’t figure out why it worked this time but not earlier and not since. I discovered that when the car pulled in, it was late afternoon and the garage floor was filled with bright sunlight. The front camera could then see the tape. Is this a bug? That is, going into the garage when it shouldn’t? (Driveway specified)

If FSD pulls in my garage, but not far enough to shut the door, is that ... Discomfort - I'm uncomfortable shutting the garage. Preference - I prefer not to hit my car with the garage door. Navigation - It didn't quite make it to the pin. Critical - My wife will kill me if the garage door hits the car. I just leave a voice saying tell @Tesla_AI how rad it is that the car pulls in my garage and ask nicely to make it pull forward until it hits the stop block 😃.

@Hawkmo0n On previous versions it tried to back-in. On 14.3 it goes head-in, which is what i want. 🤷‍♂️

@zlohnref How the F do you get it to reverse in to your garage?? We tried white reflective tape and the car does not "see" it like it does in regular parking spaces. Tried messing around with the pin. The best result is pulling into the middle of our driveway nose first?? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Roast chickpeas. Pat dry then bake for 10 mins at 400 to further dry them. Toss in EVOO with seasoning of your choices. I like garlic, grated Parmesan, paprika, salt, pepper, and (don't judge me) a little MSG. Bake for 40 mins turning every 10 or until crispy. Healthy crunchy snack.

The whole 14.2 series would try to do a 1000 point turn and give up. 13.2 was hit or miss from release to release, but 13.2.9 was reliable. I still think 14.1.7 is the best release yet - confident, good acceleration (for personal use, not Robotaxi). It still exits our driveway and turns to go the long way around the cul-de-sac which is silly.

@mikepat711 I genuinely forget 14.2.2.5 What do you think is better? I just appreciate the fast reaction time and bigger follow distance of 14.3.2 so I’ve been calling it the safest FSD yet. But maybe I’m wrong?

@wholemars @fsd_database Best thing about 14.3 - it can back out of my garage and driveway which hasn't worked since 14.1.7 (worked on 13.2.9 also).

I stand with @Teamsters. We do not have planes without pilots. We need drivers on trucks for safety, edge cases, and inclement weather. AI should be for the people, not just billionaires. I will continue to fight for legislation to stand up for truck drivers that was vetoed.

@Tesla_Analyst @wholemars It has nothing to do with "too dangerous". There are many places that don't have mail service. The whole Town of Mammoth Lakes uses PO Boxes, for example. It is about density. Most houses in Mammoth don't have full time residences. The same is true for the Marina.

@wholemars Friend does boat living at Marina Del Rey in the LA side of the universe. The USPS will not deliver there because it is that dangerous for their mail carriers.

@rockmywalls @JWSPEED2 @Tesla @elonmusk you don’t need to go to the tesla service center for a tire rotation or wiper blade replacement. go to your local america’s tire / discount tire. they will do it for free. you can change the wiper blades yourself if you order them from the tesla shop

this is so stupid.. wtf!? a simple tire balance / rotation and 2 new windshield wipers - $411.64 ‼️ and the service is 13 days out!? cmon now @tesla @elonmusk ‼️
