The favourite thing about my heatpump is that the whole house is warm with not cold spots and no scalding radiators. The ridiculously low running cost is also a bonus!!! #heatpumplove @OctopusEnergy

@OctopusEnergy I am on the intelligent flux tarrif. Why was my powerwall fully charged at the start of the free period and not discharged earlier in the day, surely this would have made more sense... Also I have a heat pump integration so surely a disinfection cycle could have been triggered?

@eV_Newt It is far too new for me. How can you play chicken when you have something so shiny. Now in 15 years or so when it looks a bit more battle tested, rough around the edges and when other cars pull over for me again I will reconsider. 😂😂😂

When Bethany’s prom ride fell through, her dad (a legendary Octopus heat pump engineer) wasn't going to let her miss out! 🦸‍♂️ So he booted up the electric chariot and gave her a grand entrance — in a van with eight legs 🚐 After such a successful trial, we want to unofficially announce that we're expanding the business to include prom chauffeuring ... more to come 🐙

Dear @BBCNews what is this bull! I don’t doubt that the person said this, but as an electrical engineer who lives in a single phase supplied house, this makes no sense whatsoever.

@USAinUKConsular @USAinNI Can I ask when Belfast will be opening up for tourist visa interviews? My partner and I was unaware the Belfast Consulate was not doing interviews and we have a holiday booked for July with the next earliest London date not until September. Any help / info appreciated.

Planning to apply for a U.S. visa? U.S. national security is our top priority. Every traveler undergoes extensive security screening, including checks against law enforcement and counterterrorism databases. Your visa won’t be issued until all security concerns are fully resolved. Prohibiting travel by those who might pose a threat is key to protecting U.S. citizens at home. #secureUSborders

@piet_plan @rshereme @piet_plan, tell me you are a product of inbreeding without telling me you are a product of inbreeding..... Putin started the invasion of a sovereign nation (Ukraine) in 2014 and again in 2022. If Russia stopped the invasion there would be no war so how is Ukraine at fault?

@rshereme Ukraine started a war that NATO can't finish without the US. If the US say it is over, it is over.

Pentagon officials have reached out to “an unspecified allied state,” urging them to halt their continued arms supplies to Ukraine. However, that country rejected the request. Two comments here: 1/n

The Trans-Atlantic relationship has become increasingly problematic over the years. Once a burden deemed worthy to bear in an age of existential ideological conflict, today the need for this relationship, defined as it is in militaristic terms, has long passed. Let’s put Europe in perspective: The Trans-Atlantic partnership is born out a conflict that ended 80 years ago. We went to war to save the UK. We liberated France. We liberated the BeNeLux nations. We defeated Germany. We defeated Italy. The rest of Europe either didn’t factor in, or was Russia’s problem. Now we have Europe claiming we are the problem because we won’t support their suicidal drive to engage the one nation we didn’t have to either save, liberate or defeat—Russia—in an existential conflict that serves no rational purpose. Maybe it’s time we liberate ourselves from this insane entanglement. Because the European’s of today have forgotten the lessons of the past. Maybe it’s time we let Russia school them on reality. Without America, once again, paying the price.

@RealScottRitter If you want to quote history look more recently back to 9/11, When the USA triggered Article 5 of NATO and ALL NATO MEMBERS HELPED THE US. Even Ukraine sent troops. But now you have had your support it's all good to run away and kiss Putin's ring...

UPDATE: The guest sent a message around midnight saying that Turo was having trouble getting a tow truck to come out. For those who aren’t aware, Turo uses a third party dispatch company called Nation Safe Drivers. NSD will find nearby tow trucks and dispatch them to the vehicle. Well, without a tow truck available, it looks like Turo allowed the guest to modify the trip and end it early. So now I have a Tesla that is completely dead (won’t update in the app) that has been abandoned in a random parking lot over an hour and a half away from the home location. Now that the guests trip has ended, the responsibility is going to fall on me. I’ll have to coordinate a new tow (hopefully there’s one available) or find which impound lot it gets towed to and then drive there to pay them to release it. Stay tuned.

UPDATE: I just received an alert that the guest booked roadside assistance. The drop-off location is the Tesla supercharger that I recommended. However, the guest still hasn’t established communications with me.

@energystatsuk Time to put a few housing estates nearer the wind farms and keep these bad boys online more. I would have happily had a few more hours of cheap / free electricity.

@MartinSLewis @ofgem When will we see the green levy moved from electricity to gas. With electric now being much cleaner than gas per kWh surely it is tile to adjust this. This would also help with the push to greener heating systems such as heat pumps.

@ofgem @neso_energy #SaveTheDFS 22p /kW is ridiculous for the DFS sessions. You pay massive bonuses to the gas plants just to "be available" let alone for their production. How about you make it more reasonable and offer consumers who can turn off of feed back a fair deal!!!!
