In the war to stop the march of Islam through Texas - Governor Abbott has taken or called for a number of appropriately aggressive positions & investigations.  As Attorney General I will build upon those and go further.  For example:   1) First and foremost, and as @GregAbbott_TX rightly called for, I will open up the books of every non-profit like CAIR tied to the Muslim Brotherhood network - there are potentially hundreds - and review their records to go after their charters and stop them from doing business in Texas.  Only the AG can do this.  We must.  ASAP.   2) I will use the full force of HB4211 - which gives the AG tools to combat housing developments like EPIC City, as well as SB17 which the Governor triggered in November to ban foreign adversaries from acquiring interest in Texas land.  We can leave no stone unturned, and we must fight for even greater authority.   3) I will support the Governor’s call to assist local DA’s, Sheriffs, and DPS in investigating Sharia law tribunals - which undoubtedly conflict with state law.   4) I will defend Texas children from the influence of Sharia law and Islamic teaching - consistent with the the proclamation by @GregAbbott_TX regarding CAIR and the Muslim Brotherhood - to ensure tax dollars do not flow to such entities under the TEA Freedom Account program.    5) I will pursue DTPA (Deceptive Trade Practices) cases, Consumer Fraud cases, and support the various investigations of state agencies - including the Texas Workforce Commission, TCEQ, and numerous other agencies looking into violations of Texas law.   6) I will defend @GregAbbott_TX ’s designation of CAIR as a foreign terrorist and  transnational criminal organization.  I will hire the highest caliber lawyers to work full time on this issue at the AG’s office to deliver the results we must deliver to protect Texan. As I have done in Congress - leading the fight against the spread of Islam and advancement of Sharia - I will take all steps necessary to use the power of the office of the Attorney General of Texas to make clear that with Islam we are dealing with a political ideology in conflict with our laws, our Constitution, and our society… and we must halt, not facilitate, its advancement.
