No one is ready for the real solution to Gerrymandering: A return to the Constitution's original standard of 1 Member of Congress for every 30,000 Americans, resulting in an 11,000-member House with city-council sized districts so small you can't Gerrymander them if you tried.

A Virginia circuit court judge has ruled the state’s redistricting amendment unconstitutional, declaring it “void from the start.” The ruling blocks the new maps and says votes from the April 21 special election are ineffective, though an appeal is likely.

Congratulations, Virginia! Republicans are trying to tilt the midterm elections in their favor, but they haven’t done it yet. Thanks for showing us what it looks like to stand up for our democracy and fight back.

@MAHA__2024 @VojtaMT @RyanWoirol @GuntherEagleman @BarackObama But you are blaming both sides as equally culpable when it is clearly heavily one sided causing required response in most arenas. Have Democrats done some stupid shit, yes including hiding Bidens deterioration, but pales in comparison to wtf is going on in R town partisanship.

@MAHA__2024 @VojtaMT @RyanWoirol @GuntherEagleman @BarackObama You understand that Trump was in office and it was his hand picked FBI that was in charge during the hunter laptop saga right? Also perhaps you didn't understand the Twitter files showing Trump as the main culprit of the attempted pressure campaign, with Biden later following

@Handin44 @VojtaMT @RyanWoirol @GuntherEagleman @BarackObama I am well aware of this one. And I agree it should have been passed as this has been a problem in the past too so we knew better. Now those who voted for it are actively going against what they voted for. Here are some example of things have done that I think is very dangerous

@Handin44 @VojtaMT @RyanWoirol @GuntherEagleman @BarackObama No, I actually am not bothesidesing. I do not side with either on this. We are denigrating into a state of disrepair. There are plenty of examples of both sides are doing things to weaken the other side. And each time it happens it is only getting more extreme. Not sustainable.

@MAHA__2024 @johnarnold So you suggest Democrats get punched in the face, roll over with legs in the air and let Republicans steal 10 seats to retain majority at Trump's direction?

@johnarnold Both sides are exhibiting behaviors of a middle school squabble. All this will do is weaken democracy, perpetuate divisiveness, and create more enemies amongst ourselves. Truly pathetic.

I should also point out that the GOP will now lose net seats across the country. If you’re going to pick a fight, at least win it. The other side will always fight back. All this was foreseeable and avoidable. We should not have started this fight.

Tonight is a good night to repeat what I said last August when Texas started this mid-cycle redistricting chain reaction. Politics has to be more than a power grab. By either party. There have to be rules that everyone follows. Otherwise, it’s all about power and pretty soon there won’t be much left that holds our nation together.

@Scott_OBthatsme @Cernovich @CryptoMan1125 What party do the only states that banned gerrymandering with independent redistricting belong to?(before trump declared gerrymander war) Democrats want to end gerrymandering, but if you want a war you want a war and we won't lose it. Then we ban it after the crying subsides.

@Cernovich @CryptoMan1125 This is always super cringe. Iots of people complaining about this were very ra ra when trump lost the popular vote. Ra ra when republicans tried to redistrict. I respect anyone who has a consistent stance on this regardless of party doing it, but that happens rarely.

@grok @ZrsZack @KobeissiLetter So basically this was a wealth redistribution to some degree by consumer to the importers thanks to the federal government. We paid them more for the items to cover tarriffs and they get reimbursed the extra tax they paid on it.

The tariffs were paid directly by US importers (the businesses), not end consumers—so the court ordered refunds to whoever overpaid the government. Tracking how much of those costs got passed to shoppers (vs absorbed or offset elsewhere) would be impossible at scale. No practical way exists to identify and mail checks to millions of households for indirect price effects. Importers can now decide whether to cut prices or reinvest the cash.

BREAKING: The US Government has begun refunding up to $166 billion in tariffs charged under President Trump after the Supreme Court ruled the policy unlawful. Beginning today, businesses can file claims through a new customs system. Over 330,000 importers across 53 million shipments are expected to be eligible. Once approved, refunds plus interest will be paid within 60 to 90 days.

@KobeissiLetter I don't get how they are going to pull this off. will it go to the companies that paid tariffs. WHAT about the consumers who paid the tariffs with higher costs.

@SpermCommander @MPorcus @dalmaer Nothing disproves god, just shows how unnecessary and superfluous he would be. Though, it would seem you accept that the definition of the typical omnipotent god of the Bible is hogwash, validating use of this example by OP.
