Love to work and love hanging out with people who love to work. Hopefully I’ll be healthy enough to never have to stop. @APompliano

This piece of old railroad steel marks the first Billion dollars in revenue in ButcherBox’s history. The steel came from train tracks in Concord, MA. Frederic Tudor (the “Ice King”) used those same tracks to ship the first ever harvested ice in the early 1800s. He cut ice from frozen New England lakes and sent it around the world. Everyone swore he was out of his mind, but he didn't care. He failed first and then built a global cold-chain that revolutionized the food industry before mechanical refrigeration even existed. The Ice King’s story inspired us at ButcherBox. One night in Boston, we packed into a bar next to the TD garden and at 1:19AM watched the Stripe app tick up to $1,000,000,000. I wish the Ice King could have been there with us.

I have been in Miami 2 months now. I have not been to a club a single time. I mostly see other nerds (coworking). I've been to the beach twice, each on a saturday morning. Airport 10 minutes away. My weekly activities are Padel, Backgammon, Kundalini Yoga. It's what you make of it!

interesting that so many people move to Miami. so hard to get work done there: so much glitz, Lamborghinis, and beautiful people. Tampa is almost certainly the best place in Florida (and the most under-rated city in America): great weather, super airport, sports teams, more.

Here are some of the thoughts I shared about decoupling data with AI and moving away from averages at @ManifestFOL last week. It's core to how we make decisions for every box we ship at Grip.

Today, I’m releasing the City’s preliminary budget. After years of fiscal mismanagement, we’re staring at a $5.4 billion budget gap — and two paths. One: Albany can raise taxes on the ultra-wealthy and the most profitable corporations and address the fiscal imbalance between our city and state. The other, a last resort: balance the budget on the backs of working people using the only tools at the City's disposal.   The first path matches a structural crisis with a sustainable and fair solution. I know where I stand. New Yorkers voted for bold change and competent leadership. We will deliver both, and we look forward to partnering with Albany to protect working New Yorkers.

The most successful people I know have a low threshold for getting on a plane. If they think it might lead to a more personal connection, they do it. They realize that real relationships aren’t built on phone calls or zoom meetings. That in-person energy is the gold standard.

Before Grip, I was on the brand side helping build ButcherBox. I lived firsthand what it takes to scale a DTC food brand. That’s why at Grip, our partners’ journey feel deeply personal to us. We understand the persistence behind the build, and the determination it takes to keep pushing towards something better. The Grip Impact Awards exist to recognize the moments when years of effort compound, and the work our partner brands put into delighting their customers. To our partners, we’re proud to support you through every stage of your journey.

Beautiful Global Express lists for $6,500,000 Two words: Cabin Altitude Helps reduce fatigue, dehydration, and headaches (one of the little-known unlocks of flying private). 5,700 ft is exceptionally low - better than the coveted Gulfstream G550. And that Boeing 767 you just took? 8,000 ft. Highlights 👇 • One of the tallest cabins at 6’3 • NYC to Tokyo nonstop ✈️ • No major maintenance due this year. Just gas and oil • Interior prev. refurbished • Engines and APU both enrolled on programs • Fwd and aft lavs. One for crew, one for you.

@Jason @AlexHonnold This is impressive. But hopefully this doesn’t inspire younger generations to do similar stuff. It’s not worth the risk-reward.

Sixteen years ago, I took an oath to serve this extraordinary city. Today, I say goodbye with a heart full of gratitude. Miami, you’ve challenged me, inspired me, and shaped me. From our neighborhoods to our skyline, from moments of crisis to moments of celebration, it has been the honor of my lifetime to serve the people of this city. This chapter closes, but my love for Miami never will. Thank you for the trust, the passion, and the relentless belief in what we can be together.
