Whilst TA folks were drawing lines on charts, metrics like this measure the actual incentive of investors to capitulate. Bottoms form when enough pain is felt, and enough coins change hands at lower and more favourable prices. Mechanics > lines on charts.

I work as a casting operator in a foundry, I am up close and personal with molten metal 12 hrs a day on an almost daily basis. It's brutally hot and tiring work, and while I'm good at what I do, I don't enjoy the stresses and dangers of the job at all. I didn't take this job because I like the work, I took it because it pays extremely well, and it allows me to buy twice as much Bitcoin per week than I was ever able to at any other job I've ever held. Those that hate Bitcoin mock it as the price continues to slump, while people like myself celebrate that we're able to buy more Sats per dollar than we were able to several months ago. Feel free to mock, hate, FUD, and short Bitcoin all you like, because people like me thrive in these conditions. Tourists come and go as the price rises and falls, but true Bitcoiners persevere and double down on their efforts to procure more generational wealth at the bottoms of the bear markets. Your loss is our gain, and eventually we will rule the world. Laugh at me all you want, I go through hell daily to buy more Bitcoin, you will not sway me, you will only feed the flames of my desire to work harder for the hardest money in existence. You don't understand what you mock and by the time you do it will be too late. Stay salty and have fun staying poor 🤡

@RationalMan74 @TMFScottP I'd put money on a reduction of spending in the budget (but could well be wrong). I think Chalmers is serious about addressing the economy. Problem is Joe Public doesn't see things that way and everyone will want moar spending for less tax. If only we had a sound money standard.

@TMFScottP But what will raising rates do when the major cause of inflation is Gov spending? We’ll end up with further stimulus from Gov designed to address cost of living but having exactly the opposite impact! The gov and the RBA are trapped in a ridiculous cycle.

Yeah, inflation is as ugly as you think it is. I'm not going to tell the RBA what to do, but if I was in the chair, I'd raise rates next week. Short term pain, long term gain.

@RationalMan74 @AvidCommentator I think they will supply credit at 10% for people who are deemed a safe risk (or safe enough). Those that are deemed higher risk will not be eligible. Whilst I think that supplying credit to high risk individuals is ethically suspect, I would prefer there to be a free market.

@AvidCommentator My first reaction is that this is a good thing. You’re saying credit card companies will not supply credit if their ability to charge interest is capped at 10%? Where do you think their threshold is if 10% is too low?

If enacted this would kill the flow of credit to many current credit card holders and probably bushwhack the economy, but sure, have at it.
