My Dad died last night. It was expected. He had dementia and it's been a tough couple of years. A bit numb right now. He was the best dad anyone could ever have. 💔

you might be asking why a man who retired in 2019 after selling his company to peter thiel is getting this award, but it’s actually for his brave service in hosting C-suite retreats and five eyes meetings at his queenstown compound, one which has a SCIF

Trump is trying to bully Aotearoa and other nations into mineral deals - which will be stockpiled to feed the US military machine. Sign the petition to stop that happening now action.greenpeace.org.nz/petition/no-mi…

Still can't get over this, the Minister for Workplace Relations didn't understand the difference between pay equity and equal pay. Ideological & ignorant she signalled her intent to strip away pay equity for thousands of workers before she'd even had a full briefing on the issue.

OIA shows "consequential decisions" in Equal Pay Act overhaul made in just 45min. 6 ministers implemented harder thresholds than officials proposed. Details, evidence, modelling that informed the most harsh & restrictive changes - "remains hidden" 🤔😠 rnz.co.nz/news/political…

TOP has to be the most brute-forced political party in the country, second only to ACT, and you have to ask why that is tbh

@ClintVSmith @nickofnz Ikr, this was 1st red flag for me that Luxon was not PM material. An absolute farce: buy a house (in housing crisis, whilst comm lease spaces nearby!!) to turn into a office. I bet he's never there! I bet he also claims rent from NZ taxpayers for it!! (cos he's EnTitLeD) 🙄

@nickofnz I'm always gobsmacked the he brought a residential home and converted it into an office, which he now rents to the Parliamentary Service, when there's a shopping complex just across the street where he could have leased an existing commercial space.

BOOM The NZ Prime Minister’s electorate office remodelled by Greenpeace. It’s now Trump’s new war minerals HQ as Luxon’s new priority seems to be turning NZ into a mining outpost for Trump’s military agenda.

You know what, Ani O’Brien? What you and your colleagues dished out to Benjamin Doyle is exactly why people are done with this kind of politics. Don’t expect sympathy now. Smears and personal attacks have real impact, no matter what the so-called “Free Speech Union” argues. People are over it. #nzpol

@chrisluxonmp Puerile, pointless, empty rhetoric. Maybe look at a new career path, Luxon? You're not a PM. You're a middle manager mouthpiece. And that's likely because you were shoved sideways when they couldn't get you out. 🙄

If you’re feeling concerned about petrol prices, you’re not alone. We know it’s tough, and the last thing any household needs right now is more pressure on the budget. While these pressures are global, New Zealand is in a stronger position to handle the impact of conflict in the Middle East than we were two years ago, because of the steps we have taken to rebuild the economy. We will continue to manage the economy responsibly and support Kiwis through this unpredictable time, delivering the steady economic management needed to minimise the impact on households.

@ClintVSmith Surely... 😬🙄 Anyone..? Any adult in Govt who will pull plug on insane multi billion LNG terminal contract whilst we're in mid of worst global fuel crisis, ever? While biggest fuel /lpg reserve stations are burning!!??

Surely, our government isn't going to sign us up to a multi billion $ LNG import terminal contract at the same time the world's biggest gas reserve and the world's biggest LNG terminal are on fire LNG was only modelled to save 0.7c/KWh. Higher LNG prices obliterate those savings

A well is a hole in the ground from which you draw water, and a boat is a hole in the water into which you pour money So we should expect the govt to be truthful about how much money to pour in Especially when they decided to pour so much down the drain thepost.co.nz/politics/36096…
