Details on the cancelled Jon Snow ‘SNOW’ Game of Thrones sequel series: George R.R. Martin has long resisted sequels to Game of Thrones because the ending of his A Song of Ice and Fire books will not align with the show, and he wants to avoid further canonizing the series’ controversial conclusion. He considered Jon Snow the safest character for a sequel, since he was exiled north of the Wall in the series finale, allowing a continuation of his story without needing to reveal the fates of other major characters in the south. • Kit Harington developed the idea alongside two writers from his drama series Gunpowder. • The concept centered on Jon Snow living in isolation as a broken man suffering from PTSD. • Jon would have driven away his direwolf Ghost and discarded his sword, Longclaw. • His days were imagined as cyclical and bleak, building cabins only to burn them down again. • Harington envisioned Jon rejecting heroism entirely. • He also wanted the story to end with Jon’s death. • Elements of the concept echoed Harington’s own personal struggles following Game of Thrones, including his time in rehab and public discussions of mental health challenges. • HBO ultimately felt the “broken Jon Snow” angle was too bleak and chose not to move forward with the project. I’m pleased to prove that yesterday’s accusations of plagiarism are 100% false. A newly revealed standard enemy was claimed to copy Wylder from Nightreign. This armour was finalised on July 17, 2024—over 5 months before Nightreign was announced—and the completed model was already in-engine by Oct 23, 2024. The timeline is clear. Visual overlap can occur in medieval fantasy design. We respect FromSoftware, but we do not copy other studios. The armour designs in Lords of the Fallen were widely praised, and we’re confident Lords II will be no different. We stand fully behind our artists, their originality, and the integrity of their work.
