@Anthrax_InAus @NathanJRobinson A POW would need to be a combatant. They lose the status of combatant from war crimes which is when they target non-aggressive civilian infrastructure. We have both seen the targeting of schools, bridges and civilian livelihood. Our commander in chief boasts about it.

Let's be clear at the outset: If Iran holds a US pilot, that person is a prisoner of war, not a "hostage." The terminology matters and we should insist that the media use the correct language for the situation.
