Every company is unique. Hence every company's problems are unique. SaaS focused on patterns. AI-native shops focus on annoying last mile anomalies. Seems the most obvious idea when you combine AI's personalisation + code-gen acceleration.

Great post from my partner @nbobba. A clear framework for how foundation model companies are a threat to Vertical AI and where we see opportunity

Possible. But if you stand between the enterprise user and the incumbent SoR you eventually become an unbundled SoR. Bit like the neobank hypothesis that’s played out in fintech
Gokul Rajaram@gokulr

Check out where Systems of Recoard sit in this diagram from @OpenAI Frontier. At least 3, if not 4, layers of context and intelligence sit between them and the end business application. It's one of the clearest representations of how AI companies plan to build next-gen systems of action on top of existing SoR, and why the markets are so worried about the future of software companies. PS: Even the color coding subtly highlights where OpenAI thinks value will accrue. The SoR layer is white and can almost be missed if one don't look closely!

A year ago, when we started @southpkcommons India, we were also at '-1.' One guy (me), sitting at a desk (in an office that wasn't ours). Now our community has 70+ members, portfolio is growing, and we’re synonymous with open exploration for the best in the ecosystem! As a runner, this feels like a long sprint. It feels like we put in enormous effort, to get through every kilometer. But it also feels so good to see, how far we have come in just a year. I'm excited about the talent-density we have here, and that a bunch of these explorations will result in the creation of generational companies from India! One question that I do keep getting all the time is — "What do people do at SPC? Why do people want to be here? What does it actually feel like to be part of this community?" Since, show >>> talk, let's hear it straight from some of our explorers. - @curiousharish @samesh_l @devangmundhra @tejas_singh @theBhulawat @nischal @kashishmittal_ @shastry @riteshs01 @neeharv

Too many founders get stuck climbing the wrong mountain. Not by accident, but because an investor pushed them onto the first hill in sight. This is the danger of commoditized capital and lean startup philosophy.

1/ We’re humbled to announce @southpkcommons Fund III: $275M to support exceptional founders from day -1. Since 2016, we’ve had a simple thesis: greatness is more likely to emerge when high talent density meets high curiosity. That's why we focus on -1 to 0.

It is clear why Vitalik thinks SBTs are “the future” of Ethereum. By making items in crypto Soulbound, they can represent more of who you are and not just what you can afford. NFTs are your identity and your identity is not for sale Further reading: pastry.xyz/supaposts/soul…

@TheStalwart I like to think of important DeFi primitives as infrastructure on which current speculative assets are placeholders for when the RW use cases start. Imaging all the assets being traded on DeFi being commodities, currencies, fixed income products etc... would be fascinating no?

I'm not convinced that there's a bright line difference between Terra vs. more standard "DeFi" protocols. Until there's a real economic need being served by DeFi (i.e. something being financed), isn't it all just different flavors of putting your money in the box before others?

We are in the end game now. Many retail users joined the Terra ecosystem in the hopes of 20% yield. Yield is clearly the 'killer' app of crypto. Stay safe out there and always do your own research.
