Excited to announce EV3’s investment in @OVRtheReality, alongside our friends at Modular and Lattice Capital Over isn’t a new project but few of you have probability heard of it. Their story is one of conviction and perseverance, showing what global incentivized communities can accomplish in a short period of time Over is the world’s largest crypto-powered 3D mapping network with over 100k 3D maps collected by a global community through the depths of the crypto bear market. These maps represents 51 million images and 57 TB of data in aggregate. 3D maps are a critical input for use cases like robotics, AR/VR, and drones. OVR is already making money from e-mobility companies that use their maps to track scooters/bikes with higher precision than GPS. We expect these revenues to grow massively in 2025-2027 as use cases like humanoid robots and ar/vr headsets reach mass-market. Yesterday, news leaked that Niantic is selling their PokemonGo games division for $3.5B to focus exclusively on spatial computing. Over’s circulating market cap $8m ($15m fdv) with a map that is >1/3rd the size of Niantic’s. As a wise man once said $OVR looks good here
