What's right? What's good? What are the alternatives? What do we do in the meantime?

@milehijules @CarolinaLion2 Every single innovation and invention in human history was designed to free ourselves from labor Now we're here and the majority are begging for jobs instead of a share of the income the very wealthy collect! What good is the productive capacity today if no one can afford it?

What is the appropriate allowance for an 11 year old boy each week to take out the trash and recycling? I was thinking $20 per week to handle that chore whenever we need it done.

No one asked to be born Whilst I do agree people should be productive especially from 15-35 The idea that legions of laborers of 100 years ago is still a thing is just not realistic Mining and agriculture and manufacturing have dramatically increased yields with a fraction of human labor input

@RealDaveSwanson @BamaSaltyMarine If they need others to feed them at all it is a them problem. Food benefits should be survival rations not cash equivalents. Frankly the government shouldn't be feeding them at all. let them go to a food pantry or charity if they need assistance.

If MREs are good enough for our troops, why not for welfare? What if EBT was replaced with monthly MRE deliveries, 8 cases per person. No misuse. No luxury. Just food. Needs met. Problem solved!

Comparing social media to drugs is a fundamentally flawed strawman. And it is one heck of a Pandora’s box to open - the argument that “it’s like a drug”, so the government can govern me harder. Social media, as an entity, is no more “damaging” than a bad diet. By your logic, you would also need to support government-mandated food consumption, or restrictions like banning Dunkin’ Donuts, - because some kids over consume sugar to the point of “damaging” their bodies. Social media is also fundamentally different from porn. Porn is an act (that itself is governed by age). Social media is a mechanism of expression and sharing information. So respectfully, no @KatMcKinley. The government does not get to micromanage my children’s access to technology based on what they think is good for my kid.
Kathleen McKinley@KatMcKinley

We don’t allow children under 21 to buy alcohol. Social media is even more damaging. I’m all for this. At the beginning of the internet we couldn’t pass a law making p*rn have a xxx dedicated w/ proof of age. Now we generations of kids who have see p*rn at a young age and are damaged by it.

@brianlilley I think the benefit of the doubt should be extended in this case Iran's Death to America fanatics who wanted this fight have seen their passion result in a severely degraded country And the only reason it's not completely destroyed is because of the restraint of President Trump

Prime Minister Mark Carney and the leaders of Germany, France, Italy and the U.K. say they warmly welcome the peace deal with Iran. Seems their main concern here is stability in the region. Hard to understand how stability occurs with Iran's regime still in power.

Fans at UFC 250 acted with class. They proudly sang O Canada for Aiemann Zahabi. Meanwhile, the “Elbows Up” crowd at the FIFA World Cup game in Toronto booed the U.S. anthem. One side acted petty. The other showed respect. That says a lot. 🇨🇦🇺🇸

Elon Musk wouldn't be a trillionaire if government stopped printing money out of thin air. You'd know this but government school seized your education and replaced it with government schools.

@FatiguedOne @BamaSaltyMarine If 5% of them get to the end of the month before the end of money it's a them problem but if 30%+ do it's worth a review More government intrusion and control into peoples' lives? Doesn't sound very enjoyable Managing that supply chain wouldn't favor smaller producers either

@FoodProfessor @tedhsu Ted's choice of words speaks volumes "Yogurt producers" 🤷 What he means to say is "dairy cartel" Every major yogurt producer is owned by one of the big dairies. If you know anything about Canada's dairy producers then you know what entity is in control.

BOOMER: “Just buy a house instead of renting.” ME: “Average house is $420,000.” BOOMER: “Get a mortgage then.” ME: “Rates are at 7%. That’s $2,800 a month.” BOOMER: “Cut back on expenses.” ME: “I don’t eat out. I don’t travel. I drive a 2015 Civic.” BOOMER: “Maybe get a second job.” Funny how every solution means working more for a system that keeps making the finish line further away. But nobody ever tells the banks to lower the rates.

Marjorie Taylor Greene 🇺🇸
Our elections are rigged, not all of them, but key races. It not only happens through machine flipping votes, but through mail in ballot fraud as well. But there is a significant problem that many people aren’t aware of and that’s massive amounts of fake social media accounts pushing psyops on the American people to sway public opinion. Most of this comes through foreign interests and foreign influence. And it helps both parties to ensure certain outcomes. On the 250th anniversary of America, the American people don’t control our government. Many average Americans already know we have no control and that’s why they don’t see any reason to vote.
