Grief gets better a little bit day by day. It never fully goes away, but it changes and softens, and becomes manageable in chunks. You can't predict how long it will take, and it's not a smooth progression.
My 19-year-old cat Shredder died less than a week ago, and the first few days were unbearable. Anyone with pets loves their animals, but many know that there's one who is deeply in your heart in a special way. That was Shredder for me.
Today is better than yesterday, and better than the day before.
But I still "see" him in the window, or on my pillow, and I forget for a moment. Then I remember. It's difficult.

What you're doing is using sex to get love and it does not work that way. I have never had a man misrepresent his intentions to get sex with me. Because I know what casual sex is and I'm in it for the sex. I don't require any more intention than that. That's what this is.
If you're engaging in casual sex and your intention is not simply to have sex, you're doing it wrong, you're hurting yourself and then you're blaming men for it.

It's crazy to watch people get to the end of the road of raising kids and then completely quit being parents. You see a lot of justifications dragged out as why they do it. "I've done my part", "I'm just done", "They need some tough love", "It's my time" but all of those are unsatisfactory. It's not something you can or should just quit.
I have in laws actively waiting for me to exit dad mode and go back to the guy I was before kids. That's just never going to happen. I'm irreparably changed, That guy is never coming back and that's a good thing.
