So Cherie wasn't doing as well as I thought she was. The vet pegged that the edges of her wound were necrotic as soon as he looked at it. He debrided it, cleaned it, stitched it up (eight stitches!) and gave us antibiotics and a script for more.
She's still vibing on the sedatives.
