@MichaelPBento We’re not going to 682 this week. Lowest we go is 6950, if that. The bear doom was strong at the bottom, and the bear doom is still strong.

SPY just lost the 10 SMA on the hourly for the first time since 4/10. This looks like a topping pattern we are putting in. I would not be surprised if e start a pullback to 682 this week.

@MedUniDoc @BerbarianWizard For real, this was a 3day study? Your body needs to acclimate to ketosis. This is absolutely false advertising. I’m sure this does happen in early stages. Your body goes into fight or flight briefly before acclimating.

real, but context matters. this was athletes in a hard micro-cycle. the T drop comes from running intense training on empty glycogen stores – cortisol stays elevated, HPG axis takes the hit. and it's temporary. once adapted, the signal normalises. most studies beyond 3 weeks show no consistent effect on resting testosterone. moderate protein + low carb? T stays fine long term. the issue only shows up when you stack high protein + low carb + heavy training load simultaneously. low carb doesn't kill testosterone. the transition does.

−36% testosterone and +14.5% cortisol in 3 days on low carbs vs ~−14.5% testosterone and stable cortisol (similar calories) Same training (~70–75% VO₂max, 3 days), similar calories (~3227 vs ~2804 kcal, not significant), only carbs changed (~58% vs ~32%). Low carbs: Testosterone −36% (22 → 14 pg/ml) Cortisol +14.5% (24.1 → 27.6 µg/dL) High carbs: Testosterone −14.5% (24.7 → 21.1 pg/ml) Cortisol stable Lower carbs → impaired glycogen resynthesis → sustained cortisol → suppression of testosterone production Same workload, higher perceived effort (RPE 17.6 vs 16.0) This shift happened in 3 days without changing training The testosterone drop often attributed to training is largely a cortisol-driven response to low carbohydrate availability. @BerbarianWizard @OversoldHunter Your body needs to acclimate to going into ketosis. You’re telling me this study was a 3-day period. Try longer, it’s insane that people post these silly low control low outcome studies.

@cantonmeow We’re not done going up, but I don’t see the case for a sustainable new bull market here. I see you referenced $COPPER/$GOLD and other charts, but I believe the most important is $GOLD/$CL which reset, rather quickly than I expected. Too fast if you were wanting a new bull.

Both bulls and bears thought that a pull back last week would be healthy. I guess that's why we didn't get one. Crash fractals are getting particularly popular these days, but $IWM just broke out of 1.272 last week. I guess that's what makes a market.

I keep seeing a lot of posts about a new bull market starting, and this rally was comparable to coming out of other bear markets. The thing is most people are not looking at $GOLD/$CL, and how quickly it reset. This is important. IYKYK $SPX $SPY $VIX $QQQ
