I have observed many in places of so called 'elite' society look with disdain on the leaders of this protest. As if they constitute some sort of "culchi gombeen class" THE PROTEST IS WARRANTED. There is a shocking level of smug anti intellectual conceit in the Government response and it pretends it is battling a political "FAR RIGHT" fascist movement to garner public and media support for their stance. They have invented this to replace the SF Republican boogeyman. They focus on all of this rather than look at the plight of ordinary people and the difficulties they have in trying to live. It is therefore unfair to make a political jibe at the opposition even if they do seem to be utterly fractured and ineffective. The Government is so out of touch with reality. I hope the public will keep strong and and show resolved to object to how we are all being treated by this cabal of globalist EU cyborgs.

The government has decided to pepper spray citizens before speaking to them. This government is fuelling discontent rather than reducing tensions. The opposition should call a motion of no confidence in this government.

Galway Port, entirely peaceful, even joyful #FuelProtest and right now AGS in riot gear arriving. I am 57 years of age and have been pro-Garda my whole life. Whoever is deploying these officers is carrying out an act of wilful provocation.

Cabinet meetings on Sundays are rare and almost always happen at a time of crisis, tomorrow is no different as Government moves to sign off on supports for hauliers, farmers and fishing sector. Taoiseach and Tánaiste to meet in the morning and full Cabinet to convene around 4pm.

I can assure you, middle Ireland have no clue or give a damm about imported social ideologies that live mainly on the binary data of social media posts.

I sense the protests are losing support for five reasons... 1. The rationale. Lower taxes now but no protests when higher taxes. 2. The nefarious actors hijacking this. 3. The swathes of support for the reasons for the prices hikes (Trump and Israel). 4. Hurting ordinary people who also have bills and jobs, by targeting the wrong places. 5. There's a fair sense the demands are "give us money", the rest don't matter. Again I'm not against them, in principle, and understand much of it, but even as somewhat of an anarchist I'm reluctant to jump on this as it's far from black and white.
