Following a very difficult meeting with my accountant, I just found out how much it is going to cost me in terms of an "exit tax" to leave Quebec and Canada. No human being in a free society should have their hard-earned money stolen in this manner. I'm genuinely numb. I'm speechless.

@HunterBiden Wait, the guy who snorted coke in the White House had an issue with the UFC event on the lawn? The same lawn where his dad had topless trannies dancing? Hunter, we couldn't take you seriously even if we wanted to.

Dear Joe, I wish I could sit down with you face to face and explain why so many of us were offended by the UFC fight on the South Lawn of the White House. For me, it had nothing to do with the UFC or who showed up for the fights. The brand you and Dana have built is a bona fide American success story. More power to you. As for the fighters, in my book, anyone brave enough to put it all on the line in the arena is remarkable to witness. Their dedication and discipline inspire me. I don’t understand anyone who can’t admire that. And as for the people who attended, I, for one, love Shane Gillis. I think he’s hilarious and brilliant. It was a show. A once-in-a-lifetime spectacle. I can’t blame anyone for wanting to witness it firsthand. My problem is that I believe some of our public spaces are sacred. And unlike many of the great powers that came before us, these American monuments belong to all of us. Not to whoever happens to hold power at the moment. The White House does not belong to Donald Trump. It does not belong to any President. It belongs to the people. To treat it as Caesar treated the Colosseum is antithetical to everything our founding fathers fought for. This is not Rome. Presidents are not emperors doling out bread and circuses for the peasants. The White House is the People’s House. This “celebration” could have happened in any stadium within a stone’s throw of the South Lawn. No one would have had an issue with it. But that was obviously Donald Trump’s whole point. By holding the event on the South Lawn, what he was saying to the rest of us is: “This is my house. I own it. I will do with it what I please. I’ll build a colosseum and have the gladiators fight under my gaze. I’ll tear down the East Wing. I’ll pave over the Rose Garden. I’ll cover everything in gold and marble. I’ll erase the names of all the men who came before me.” The fights were an exhibition of imperial domination, not a celebration of our 250th anniversary as a democracy. The White House is not Buckingham Palace. It is not the Palace of Versailles. It is not the Forbidden City of Beijing. It does not belong to an emperor, or a king, or a commissar. The White House belongs to us. All of us. The person who sits behind the Resolute Desk in the Oval Office is nothing more than an honored guest. A temporary caretaker. The President is our servant. Not our Caesar. Respectfully, Hunter P.S. Cage match between me and Don Jr.? Your call on the venue. Anywhere but the South Lawn.

@Waldo0848 @nettermike I'm a military child, a military wife, military mom/aunt/cousin/niece/daughter-in-law/granddaughter. My life is rich with stories of families who sacrificed being together for the sake of service to country, and the wives and mothers who held down the household all the while.

Your heart should breaking as you read this. Because you all need to realize something about Usha Vance Karoline Leavitt Jennifer Hegseth and Jeanette Rubio These four women right now are each carrying something that most people will never fully understand. Usha Vance pregnant with her fourth child baby boy coming in July and JD chose no formal leave. She is home. Alone. Counting the days. While her husband carries America. Karoline Leavitt who stood at the most powerful podium in America for 39 weeks pregnant never missed a single day. Came back to work four days after having baby Niko. And today holds baby Vivi knowing another briefing is always just around the corner. Jennifer Hegseth who holds seven children together every single time Pete boards that plane. Every deployment. Every trip. Every morning the kids ask where dad is. She answers. Alone. And Jeanette Rubio who has watched her husband cross three continents in one week away from her away from their children for a country that may never fully know her name. Four women. Four completely different sacrifices. One identical truth. They never asked America to see them. They never posted about what it costs. They never once made it about themselves. They just held everything together. Quietly. Completely. So their husbands could hold America. And today we just need every American to stop for one moment. And say something these four women have waited too long to hear. Thank you. Not for your husbands. For you. For everything you carry that nobody films. God cover Usha. Cover Karoline. Cover Jennifer. Cover Jeanette. And remind every one of them America sees you. Even on the days it forgets to say it. Make sure to repost this today. Because these women deserve to be seen.

@ClaireBlueT @DoctorTro I once asked the Dr. at what level of blood lipids would he NOT prescribe a statin and he answered that he'd prescribe at all levels. This guy was the poster child for metabolic dysfunction with the 9-month pregnant belly, and he was in his 40s. I'm sure by now quad bypass.

The amount of 40 year-old patients out there with high calcium scores is much higher than I ever expected. And frankly speaking, these are largely people that do not have high cholesterol but are more often people who have had lifelong insulin resistance and metabolic syndrome. Calcium score is an irreplaceable risk stratification tool, please consider one

@DoctorTro Getting a zero CAC score was the only way to shut down my doctor thinking I needed a damned statin. Worth every penny.

The single most important health decision I ever made happened in the waiting area of a Mexican restaurant on January 14, 2018. That night I decided to stop treating carbohydrates like a free food. I went from eating several hundred grams of carbs per day to under 90. The result? 80 pounds of fat loss. More than 8 years at a healthy body fat level. Stronger at 62 than I’ve ever been. A 300-pound bench press. 10-mile runs without needing to constantly refuel. I’m not saying carbs are poison. I’m not saying everyone should eat low-carb. I am saying it’s bizarre to pretend carbohydrate excess isn’t a real problem when millions of people are overweight, prediabetic, diabetic, or battling constant hunger. If your body thrives on higher carbs, great. But for many of us, the biggest health breakthrough wasn’t eating more carbohydrates. It was finally eating fewer.

@unskilledtechs @BaronDestructo Ah, I forgot there was an episode called Sanctuary! The actor, Christopher Heyerdahl, plays two characters in the series Sanctuary, another very good sci-fi series.

Whatever you think of this story, they actually weren't forced to wear rainbows on their hats, they had the option of just wearing the normal hats. Seems like a lot of folks on the Right have basic facts about this story wrong.
The Redheaded libertarian@TRHLofficial

The ball players were forced to wear rainbows on their hats for the gay month, so they added Genesis 9:12-16, which includes, “I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth’.”

Having read the first 100 pages of the rape gang report yesterday, I had to give it a break. I have rarely in my life read anything that disturbing, and I was actually very surprised that it was not headline news across the various news channels, like e.g. GB News. I have always supported, and voted for, Farage's various projects, but in this matter I am 100% on the side of Lowe. All those complicit must be found and either deported or executed, no matter who they are. Also, and this is important, the evil ideology making this possible must be completely eradicated from these shores.
