@davesnx What features you can’t live without? I feel like out of box performance cc feels better? I must be missing something

If you try opencode, it's really hard to go back to claude Even now that opus/sonnet won't work in oc. I just hope 5.4 codex and other models become better, and oc implements some of the cool features from cc

@Austen Pretty crazy, cause they had and still have a head start in everything, decent model, data, workspace, android, chrome, home, cloud, tpu If they found someone Elon like, they’d take over the world

Honestly Google sucks at marketing its AI products. Gemini and family are dramatically underhyped for how good the models are. Partially because they don’t have a charismatic leader, partially because they’re buried in 18 layers of confusingly named Google enterprise bloatware.

Palantir CTO @ssankar says former casino workers in Sparks, Nevada, have reskilled into advanced manufacturing jobs at Panasonic Energy, supplying the Tesla Gigafactory: “It used to take three years of apprenticeship to learn how to be a battery technician. With AI, it now takes three months.”

Rumor has it that a coalition of smaller labs is forming to challenge the Big Four, OpenAI, Google, Anthropic and Meta. By pooling research and compute, they hope to stay competitive without the billions in funding. Decentralized AI could become a real force.

@zeeg Think you have a good point here, that’s why ppl boasting about 10k lines of code a day is kinda off In great codebases sometimes 20-30 lines of code is a great new feature

im fully convinced that LLMs are not an actual net productivity boost (today) they remove the barrier to get started, but they create increasingly complex software which does not appear to be maintainable so far, in my situations, they appear to slow down long term velocity

I want Vercel Sandbox, but for my laptop. Wake up to a clean macOS install. Every app freshly installed and configured. Always on the latest version. No leftovers from random tools I tried once. And if I ever need it, one click to start fresh again. 😌

I hate tmux It's so incredibly user unfriendly The shortcuts make no sense I wish someone would make a better tmux Even just logging into tmux attaching the screen is an illogical hell to type Again I hate tmux, it's so shit
Matthieu Richard@SpaceMatthieu

@levelsio Is there a good way to jump between tmux sessions on Termius? I find it quite hard to manage multiple codex/claude sessions on the go

Okay I tried it you’re right it’s wayyy better, but it does way more to get things done Eg. I told it to add nano banana 2 suppprt, it took 15 minutes almost to get the right actual model 😓 and used like 50 tools, plugged it into codex 10 seconds to get the model going Does the self improvement make it better at all?

350-400 hours into OpenClaw over the last 33 days non-stop, no days off...I'm ready to quit. My openclaw is fucking lost in the weeds every day today and it's driving me nuts. Basic shit. I asked it to use GitHub. it has a GitHub skill. We have a GitHub SOP. I can see it's thinking process about using skills, then narrating how the skill doesn't exist, then going and inventing ways to retrieve the capability to use GitHub from the internet. I tell it to look in the openclaw docs for the proper skill path, it says "oops my bad, yeah it was there after all." This is ChatGPT 5.4 with extra high thinking turned on. I ask it to diagnose the problem only, so it goes and sees the system prompt is telling it to look at the wrong place, and it goes to GitHub and opens a GitHub issue about this 'bug' without even asking me. What the actual fuck. 3 hours on a Sunday of trying to rewire the brain of my openclaw to do default-behaviour. This thing such a productivity suck & mental poison. I can't do anything useful or positive with OpenClaw because I'm nonstop fighting fires in the engine room. I'm thinking about giving up.

I'm going to rile up the trolls with this right now but I am working on 3 different big projects simultaneously across 15 @conductor_build sessions all the time. In the last 7 days I'm averaging 17k lines of code per day, 35% tests, all thanks to gstack. (All mornings/nights/weekends on top of my real job at YC) I ran /retro (from gstack) on all three projects and this is what came back:

@KJJKETH @bradmillscan Is Hermes legit? No flakeyness, no lying? Cause I really don’t care for all the new features they’re touting if it also can’t do basic stuff like what Brad was mentioning, stuff that codex can do 100% of the time

@bradmillscan Yeah exactly what I’ve been feeling too, and it was addicting in the beginning getting claw to be smarter, but I feel like I’ve reached the limit, it’s just too shaky of a foundation I could’ve launched a few projects in the time I took to try to get this to work smh
