🚨 OALE charged two felons after a box truck bypassed the I-75 Agricultural Inspection Station and driving erratically. Driver Kemain Campbell had a suspended license since 2023; passenger Kenneth Obi had a S&W .40 pistol and cannabis. Both are convicted felons.

Special thanks to so many of our wonderful Florida Delegation who joined me to discuss, and then sign, a Secretarial Disaster Declaration for impacted Florida farmers following the devastating winter ice storms. Projections include an estimated $3.17 billion in agricultural losses across the state. Much of these losses will take years (if ever) to recover. The devastation is heartbreaking. This designation is a first step forward to help Florida farmers and ranchers access emergency loans and programs as they begin the long rebuild. Today, Commissioner of Agriculture Wilton Simpson announced state approval to permanently protect over 2,800 acres of working agricultural land in Florida. Since its inception, the Rural and Family Lands Protection Program has preserved over 230,000 acres of working agricultural land, with over 165,000 acres preserved during Commissioner Simpson’s administration.
