@GameSack @chandler5554 @dark1x It's called the soap opera effect and yes I hate it for movies and TV shows For gaming it causes massive delays but nearly all TVs should automatically switch it off in game mode anyway

I think this video does a good job explaining the viewpoints of the team but I wanted to make sure it was clear that I wasn't feeling up to participate yet thus not in the video. I will share my own thoughts soon but my opinions largely mirror what Alex says in this video!

@GameSack @PaulsGamingLive @dark1x Everything in computer graphics is fake, it's pixels, aka variations of light (or electrons). It would be like saying you don't like polygons because Saturn made them look strange. With time, the technique will be refined and you'll find it awesome.

You guys have covered DLSS from 1 - 4 I don't get the meltdown over version 5 🤷 DF is about covering gaming technology... Even if the opinion* is it's bad* for gaming Fake frames - good Fake resolution - good Fake render - Meltdown The way I view this, This one is the worst the technology will ever be right now..., The technology will mutual, Devs will get it hands on and the artists will be able to tune it, it opens the door for a generational leap on GFXs

@JCernAlves @lonseidman I haven't been excited about Xbox since the OG console. When the 360 came out I saw it on display and there was screen-tearing galore, so I immediately thought it was kinda junky. It was a long while after I already had a PS3 that I got a 360.

@GameSack @lonseidman Series X has a disc drive but most releases were coasters. So no reason to be overly excited.

Doing a re-watch of Picard Season 3 as my wife hasn't seen it yet. Even she, a non-trek fan, is into it. Nielsen ratings were strong during its run too. It's a shame CBS/Paramount didn't invest in a follow-up show vs. Academy..
