@RevReads289 Prop 13 in Ca, pensions vs 401k, Had low college tuition prices then became administrators that lobbied against college alternatives. Entry level jobs required nothing for them now require 3-5 years education. It’s an endless list. Benefited from open systems then closed them.

People need to stop making these complaints. It makes them sound historically ignorant. Yes, Gen Z has struggles which may be more difficult than the Millennials, X, and Boomers, but all post WWII generations have it exponentially easier than what came before. We all struggle.
Bitcoin Teddy@Bitcoin_Teddy

Older generations say “we all struggled in our 20s.” No, you didn’t. You didn’t pay $3200 for rent and $10 for eggs. You didn’t graduate into $50K student debt and $0 job security. Gen Z isn’t dramatic. They’re drowning.

I’m writing a book on how all eschatological views have points to make but all also miss the bigger picture I think there is a more biblical method to analyze world events that doesn't adhere to timing or die on the hill of any interpretation while acknowledging how contemporary events do echo or even directly reflect apocalyptic and prophetic text. I call it Archetypalism, it’s an extension of Biblical typology.

I'm actually a premillennial dispensationalist However, because of the acts of premillennial dispensationalist Christians, and the wicked acts of other foreign nations they endorse, I am starting to reconsider my eschatological views Am I the only one?

Erika Kirk nearly starts to cry while telling students that if you are a believer in Christ, you might be persecuted for your faith and values. "You are being persecuted because you believe in Jesus Christ." "It is not easy to do this."

Alexander Volkanovski believes the BMF belt could be taken away after failing to serve its purpose at UFC 326 👀🤯 “If we start fighting like that, don’t be surprised if the BMF belt gets taken away. We might not see it. No, I’m not having shots. I’m just saying that it’s losing its purpose. The purpose behind it is guys that are just going to go and put on fights. I’m not trying to throw shade on Charles.” (Via @alexvolkanovski )

Why is it so hard to find influential churches willing to actually challenge the culture and stand unchanging on Christian values? Everything is either progressivism, watered down Christianity, or Calvies in their circles feeding each other.

@RevReads289 I do have some issues with the seeker sensitive model though and the fact that many large churches tend to function more as a business than a church.

When I see these types of posts attacking churches who are trying to reach out to the lost in creative ways, I am pretty sure they would have criticized Jesus for working miracles and telling parables.
Jared Moore@jaredhmoore

The Seeker-sensitive movement denies the power of the Holy Spirit to change a sinner’s affections to love God for who He is. Hence, the need to make worship about the Seeker’s selfish affections rather than God.

Lotta dudes have been asking what my take on the Iran situation is. Here it is: we have no business being over there doing what we’re doing and Trump is completely wrong. He is being controlled by external influences. Like Iraq, we’re gonna make the situation much worse and kill a lot of people in the process. Shame on the United States and we need to clean our own corrupt house. We need to stop being the world’s police. #Iran #WarInMiddleEast #NUTNFANCY #USAirForce #usnavy

Do better @SouthwestAir. NINETY open seats on my 5 hour flight, and I was not allowed to move two rows ahead so an elderly couple I was seated next to in my row could have more room. We were one of the only full rows on the entire plane. Your new policies stink.

@MikedAlamo @EruditeTogether Augustine said the will is bound by sin and cannot choose God without prior grace. If you cannot choose otherwise, calling that free will is inconsistent.

@GoodCheerInPF @EruditeTogether We deny that part about "man has no free will". In 1000s of written pages, Reformed Theology affirms that man is doing EXACTLY what he wants, and that is why he is lost.

Just a thought: opponents of Calvinism accuse the system of making God into a monster because God doesn’t open the possibility of salvation to all, therefore he intentionally damns people to hell. They understand that if God is creating people knowingly for destruction that he is not good. My objection: I fear opponents of Calvinism don’t have a low enough view of man. Let me explain. If man is wicked, and undeserving of grace, why is God a monster to exact judgement on the wicked? When I hear someone say “your God is a monster” all I can think is “I was the monster, and God chose to have mercy on me.” I see the positive aspect: Gods mercy. Where opponents dwell on: His judgement. Not that I believe judgement is bad, but it seems opponents feel his judgement is unfair if they are not given a chance to respond according to their own free will. But, is man innocent? I would argue no. If man is not innocent, how is God a monster to bring judgment? Circling back to “He intentionally creates people for judgment” I go back to scripture where it talks about God created some for honorable and some for dishonorable use. To display his glory. “One of you will say to me: “Then why does God still blame us? For who is able to resist his will?” But who are you, a human being, to talk back to God?” This sharp warning I find pertinent. Who are we to question our creator? Pushback and debate is welcome. I am not seeking to mischaracterize anyone, just thinking through what I have seen on my timeline.

@strykerdawn @EruditeTogether Because under Calvinism, God’s the one who decrees it. Think of it like Tolkien holding Gallum responsible for what he made him do. Also, under Calvinism there’s not atonement available for most people.

While many (well-meaning, but I believe very misguided) Christian leaders are discipling people toward… - Political ambiguity (“neither Right nor Left”) - Or political passivity (“we’re just exiles in Babylon, Christians shouldn’t get too political”) … Muslim leaders have a very clear political plan and are executing it with aggression.
Dr. Maalouf ‏@realMaalouf

Islamic imam in Texas: “Mamdani was a victory for the Ummah. We didn’t succeed in conquering Vienna by the sword for 200 years, and now it’s 20% Muslim. We need to enlarge the Muslim population in America, just like we did in Europe.” Texas has an Islamic problem.

@ProvisionistP @Protestia It does seem rather difficult to be above reproach when you’re making sex tapes. It doesn’t mesh with church culture. The article said he had bizarre conversations with people in the church he was counseling.

BREAKING: Pastor Nathan Peternel of Life Church is stepping aside from leadership and entering a "restorative process" after his denomination, the AOG, chastised him after revelations that he filmed dozens of sex tapes with his wife went public. He shared in an email: "After a careful and thorough review, the District Executive Presbytery concluded that certain personal behaviors related to my use and retention of private digital content involving my spouse fell short of the standards expected of a credentialed minister and were determined to be unbecoming of ministerial leadership."
