@Heleusnetwork @hansaFL @HeliumGeek @helium No, its cause there is a limited out of hnt to give out a day, and we are using more then we can give out. If hnt price goes up the price of gig transfered will go up too to the max price of .5 a gig transfered.

as some of you might recall, we spoke before about work we had been doing with our carrier partners to improve how they get visibility in to the quality of service for their traffic once their subscribers join WiFi networks like @helium and leave their cellular network traditionally this has been a bit of a black box - once the subscriber is off their network, they have little to no information on the quality of the connection, how long it lasted, how much data was consumed, etc. this in turn led those carriers to act on the more conservative side when it came to making offload decisions it's why Hotspot hosts would sometimes see traffic dips or long periods of time where no carrier offload occurred. carriers are becoming smarter at deciding where and how much traffic to offload based on economics (for paid contracts) but also based on the performance of both WiFi and cellular in a given venue thankfully, at least one of our partners has now implemented upgraded mechanisms as a result of our QoS work, and we're starting to see the results of that change as of yesterday I would expect to break ATH's over the weekend, as we might see 40-50% less rejections than we had in the past 🚀

I think it should be an open Q&A. I’d suggest a 2 part system on Reddit: 1) weekly AMA - light agenda if any, mostly just answering questions 2) a unique subreddit that is just answers to common questions and concerns based on what comes up. 1 post = 1 question or topic with a detailed answer. The comments would be open but the post creation would be admin only so it doesn’t get drowned out by everything else in the regular helium subreddit. Let the community guide the discussion so we can replace frustration with facts.

I’d love to see a weekly @helium live AMA, maybe one on spaces and another on Reddit. All of the raw data shows incredible progress but we lost a central point of communication when the discord shut down. People have questions and I’m seeing frustration fill that void. What honest questions do you have? What improvements would you like to see? Anyone that wants to spew bs without actually trying to contribute or suggest improvements can fuck off. After reviewing the Senate Banking draft text over the last 48hrs, Coinbase unfortunately can’t support the bill as written. There are too many issues, including: - A defacto ban on tokenized equities - DeFi prohibitions, giving the government unlimited access to your financial records and removing your right to privacy - Erosion of the CFTC’s authority, stifling innovation and making it subservient to the SEC - Draft amendments that would kill rewards on stablecoins, allowing banks to ban their competition We appreciate all the hard work by members of the Senate to reach a bi-partisan outcome, but this version would be materially worse than the current status quo. We’d rather have no bill than a bad bill. Hopefully we can all get to a better draft. We'll keep fighting for all Americans and for economic freedom. Crypto needs to be treated on a level playing field with the rest of financial services so we can build this industry in a safe and trusted way in America.
