@LexsWorld @WarMonitor3 The Iranian coast sucks, but kharg has deep water capabilities, so it handles 90-95% of Irans oil export business. It's about choking the economy further to add pressure, and having a bargaining chip to exchange when coming to a deal.

@TroyMclure22 The cybertruck exists, dude. Today. And I've seen a whole bunch on the road. And it's good! Electric vehicles have a LOT more torque than ICE cars. There's no real issue moving to EVs in those classes other than range, which keeps getting better.

@Prominent_Bryan It kind of depends. You will never see an EV pickup or large SUV, those are the top selling vehicles and they can never be EV.

@Snake1633691791 No, they're really not. Instead of the massive reduction in complexity/parts & massive increase in mechanic reliability EVs offer, hybrids manage to make both things worse, adding many parts.

@Prominent_Bryan Hybrids deliver 90% of the environmental value of an EV without the need to build trillions of $$$ on new infrastructure or massively upscale our electric grids. They also don’t come with the same range issues or degradation in performance due to cold weather. Hybrids are the way

@RealRotator An atheist can still recognize that each major religion is fundamentally different and not equal with all others. Islam - as a whole - is the most problematic & least tolerant, barnone...I don't give a shit how many interpretations there are of it. Get your head out of the sand.

@withloveabn @jessisajew I’m an atheist but even I know that Islam is a religion. In fact it’s a religion with an estimated 400 different interpretations. There is no one “political Islam” ideology or world view and thus a single definition.

@GrantSlatton I have bad news - medicine is widely like this. It's just more obvious with dentists because accessing multiple different GPs is hard for most people.

insane that we tolerate living in a society where you can go see one dentist and he's like "ya u have 13 cavities, will be $4000 to fix them all" then see another and he's like "that guy was full of shit and trying to scam you, you're fine" ???

Entry level pay for jobs in California: Teacher - $24/hour Plumber - $15/hour Electricians - $12/hour Truck Driver - $15/hour Police Officers - $26/hour Does it make sense the minimum wage for a fast food worker is $20 per hour?

IQ is the key to war. Compare Iraq vs Iran. Iran has 4–5 million high IQ people vs. only ~300,000 in Iraq. At IQ 160+ - where wars are won - Iran has 10,000-15,000 vs. just a few hundred in Iraq. Since Iran is a dictatorship, it can force geniuses into the military. You're at war with super-villains.

@TheLHudson @avilewis Nah. The problem of people like this is their worldview is built on assumptions about human nature that are just totally wrong & exactly backwards. As a result everything they come up with is wrong, sometimes to the point of sounding malicious, cause their models are backward.

Someone is selling a manor estate in Burgundy with a private river, waterfalls and a natural swimming pond. 2 hours from Paris. Two buildings arranged around a courtyard, 1,700m² (18,298 sq ft) in total, 12 bedrooms, an artist's studio, stables and 7 hectares (17 acres) of land. Inside there's a music room with a piano, a library in the tower, a writing room, and a dining room built around a fireplace large enough to roast a whole animal. Herons and wild ducks live on the property year round. The river has a depth of 3 metres and you can swim in it all summer. Near Vézelay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Asking price: €1.39M ($1.6M). The French sure do know about living well. A river on your grounds, your own land to walk, swimming in summer, dinner outside. What's the French word for this kind of life?

@Bratt_world Didn't Carney get elected on a firm promise, with a firm date that he was going to get a trade deal by? I feel like it was many months before March, 2026. Do we know what happened to that?

@alt_w_v_g Common sense is never paying for something as stupid as a "home warranty" to begin with 🙄 And the amount of time you invested here wasn't even close to worth it.

The dishwasher broke My wife said "good thing we have the home warranty" I said nothing I've been paying $62 a month for three years for this moment $2,232 for the peace of mind that when something breaks someone will come to the house and tell me it's not covered I called 47 minutes on hold They sent a technician Arrival window: Tuesday through Thursday between 8am and 5pm My analyst delivers faster than that And he still hasn't fixed the gridlines He showed up Wednesday at 4:47pm Looked at the dishwasher Opened the door Closed the door Touched something underneath Said "not covered" 90 seconds That's faster than my bank lets me prove I'm human I said "what's covered" He said "the motor" I said "what's wrong with it" He said "not the motor" I said "convenient" He said the service fee is $75 I paid a man $75 to open my dishwasher, close my dishwasher, and say two words My analyst could do that And he's not even that good I called the warranty company back 38 minutes on hold Requested the policy 129 pages I read all 129 pages Because that's what I do The coverage section is 34 pages The exclusions section is 58 The business model is right there In the margins Where nobody reads Except me Page 91 says "all mechanical and electrical components essential to appliance function are covered under standard service" Page 104 excludes control panels A control panel is an electrical component essential to appliance function Their own document contradicts itself 13 pages apart I highlighted both Sent them an email Subject line: "Plz fix. Thx." Attached both pages No other context Took them three days to send a technician Took them 4 hours to call me back when I found the loophole Funny how that works They covered the repair Waived the $75 And I canceled the warranty anyway Because a contract that contradicts itself isn't a contract It's a suggestion My wife said "so we're canceling" I said "we're canceling" She said "and the dishwasher" I said "fixed. They're covering it." She said "how" I said "I read the policy" She said "all 129 pages" I said "the exclusions section starts on page 47. The coverage section ends on page 34. There are 13 pages between them where they hoped nobody would look." She looked at me Then she said "you're unbelievable" I said "I just saved us $744 a year and got a free dishwasher repair. I'm not unbelievable. I'm thorough." She looked at the ceiling The dishwasher works now The warranty is canceled And the policy has been read By at least one person Probably the first Make common sense common again Plz fix. Thx. @Snake1633691791 Ok but what's your argument? That Peters better? He's super centrist. In terms of their 2026 rhetoric Caroline is running Waaay to the right of him. She was always considered more of a right leaning BC Lib apparently.

@LexsWorld @NVanCaroline She demonstrated her disastrous lack of common sense and poor judgement when she supported these policies. Her turning the page now is obviously disingenuous. No one whose obvious lack of judgement lead them to support these policies should ever receive a single vote from anyone.
