@theMakarioz You did exactly right, dodged a bullet. What a nightmare she was! I wouldn’t dream of ordering something so expensive, and there’s no way I’d have only taken a few bites🐷😂 I hope you find some of the many better mannered women to date in future x

Man crashes out on the internet after his first date fails when he decides to take home untouched leftovers from the expensive dishes his date ordered and didn't touch, but she wasn't having it because eating leftover is supposedly beneath her standards 😳🍿

Stayed in a @TravelodgeUK hotel in Liverpool on Monday and left an item in the hotel room - my bad, obviously. - Realise I'd left it so I returned within 2hrs, room not yet cleared. Told it's not there (I knew it was). - Had to give up, as I had to catch my train. 1/

🚨 “Pure evil”: Teacher rapes and kills adopted 13 month old baby boy, leaving him with 40 injuries in just four months and recorded it on Snapchat. Jamie Varley a teacher from Blackpool, and his partner John McGowan-Fazakerley adopted 13-month-old Preston Davey in 2023. The baby died after months of horrific sexual and physical abuse at their hands. Varley was found guilty of murder, multiple counts of sexual assault on a child under 13, child cruelty, and taking/distributing indecent images of the child. Snapchat videos he recorded showed the abuse. McGowan-Fazakerley was found guilty of causing and allowing the death of a child, cruelty, and sexual assault. Preston suffered more than 40 injuries, including a broken elbow and seizures, before dying from airways obstruction likely smothering. Varley claimed the baby drowned in the bath. Another monster in a position of trust exposed for destroying an innocent child. How many more of these sick “parents” are out there abusing and killing the babies they adopt?

I want someone to explain to me why, when I was little, I’d leave school, have lunch, play in the street, do my homework, watch TV, take a bath, play at home, and it would still only be 7pm Now I have a coffee, blink twice, and somehow it’s already 11pm at night.

@JournalistJill On one hand I don’t think we should be relying on other criminals to risk their sentences to make both these guys’ lives hell. But on the other hand if they spend the rest of their pitiful pathetic little lives looking over their shoulders I’d be fine with that.

I’ve been a police officer for 15 years, and I thought I’d heard every excuse people use for speeding. Last night, I pulled over a woman doing nearly 90 in a 60. She blew past 2 warning signs and almost missed the exit. I walked up ready to write citations and possibly impound the vehicle. The second she rolled down her window, she burst into tears. Before I could say a word, she said, “My husband collapsed at work. They called and said he’s being rushed into emergency surgery. I don’t know if I’ll get there in time.” Now, I’ve heard plenty of stories over the years. Most fall apart after a few questions. This one didn’t. Her hands were shaking so badly she could barely hold her phone. The hospital was calling repeatedly. I could hear the panic in the nurse’s voice through the speaker. I looked at her, handed back her license, and told her to follow me. I lit up the cruiser and escorted her across town, clearing traffic the entire way. What should have taken almost 40 minutes took less than 20. She jumped out before I even…….

January, 2025. Keir Starmer is asked why he and his "Safeguarding Minister" Jess Phillips do not support a national inquiry into grooming gangs. Starmer claimed that the "basic problem" was already well known and then immediately pivoted to attacking the people who were calling for the national inquiry. Starmer: They're spreading misinformation. They're jumping on the far right bandwagon. They're trying to incite violence. They're looking for attention. Everything Starmer said in this video was in direct response to being asked why he doesn't want a national inquiry into grooming gangs.

Lance Bass and his partner, Michael Turchin, used IVF and surrogacy to obtain a little boy and a little girl. But their own words reveal something disturbing about the fertility industry. The women hired as surrogates and the children created are treated as disposable objects—not human beings with inherent worth and dignity. Here are just a few shocking statements from Lance and Michael on the process of hiring egg donors, surrogates, and creating children… 1. “We got all the way down the path of about to retrieve their eggs… Some just wouldn’t produce enough eggs, some weren’t good genetic matches.” — Michael Turchin 2. “Not only did we need to get a new egg donor now because we found out she had early lupus, but on top of that, when we did our egg retrieval, we only had two healthy embryos... once she miscarried, we had to start all over from scratch again.” — Michael Turchin 3. “[W]e found a new donor and we love the donor, so we have our embryos ready to go right now. Unfortunately, we just lost our surrogate that we’ve had for over two years. And so now begins the process of finding a replacement surrogate...” — Lance Bass Notice the language: new donor, replacement surrogate, healthy embryos, genetic matches. This is what happens when human reproduction becomes a commercial process. Women are treated like breeders, selected and replaced according to whether they meet the desired specifications. Children are treated as products of a system that screens, selects, and manufactures them according to their parent’s wishes and not just embraced for who they are. The women involved deserve better than to be treated as means to an end. The children involved deserve better than to be treated as products designed to fulfill adult desires. Every child has inherent dignity. Every woman has inherent dignity. IVF and surrogacy undermine that dignity by turning human reproduction into a marketplace where adult preferences come first and children's rights are ignored. We should reject these practices and work toward ending them.

What happens when a police officer gets the law completely wrong? In this video, a UK police sergeant is seen threatening to arrest a driver at a petrol station pump. The issue? The driver filled his car with £60 of diesel and attempted to pay using a genuine, Royal Mint-issued £100 silver commemorative coin. The supermarket staff refused to accept the coin and called the police, leading to the dramatic stand-off caught on camera. Is it legal? Here is the actual law: The answer is both yes and no, depending on who you look at: Could the shop refuse the coin? Generally, yes. While the coin is technically "legal tender" under the Coinage Act 1971, contract law allows a private business to decide which payment methods they prefer. However, because the fuel was already inside the car, a debt had been created. Legally, a business cannot "pick and choose" payment methods after the fact unless they clearly state their exclusions on the pump before you fill up. Was it a criminal offence? Absolutely NOT. The officer arrested the driver for "Making Off Without Payment" (Theft Act 1978). To commit this crime, a person must dishonestly run away to avoid paying the bill. The driver wasn't running, hiding, or acting dishonestly—he was standing right there actively trying to hand over cash worth more than the fuel! The Result: Because the police treated a civil contract dispute as a criminal theft, the arrest was entirely unlawful. The driver later took legal action against the police force, winning a formal apology and a £5,000 settlement.

@EdLatimore No he shouldn’t. He should knock on the women’s door, ask if anyone is in there, if yes wait - if no enter with daughters. If anyone walks in after him he should call out as soon as he hears them that he’s a man with young daughters. If a woman has a problem they should wait

Got sucked into the debate on the dad with his daughter in the women's bathroom. He should have taken her into the men's bathroom, full stop. And for all the people saying they would never want their 3-year-old daughter in a bathroom with men... The stalls have doors, you know. She's not just on display. Fast forward a few years, and your same logic holds with the opposite effect. Imagine that your daughter is now a teenager. Do you want her in the bathroom with a bunch of men, just because they happened to have their young kids with them? By the logic people are using, you have to pick a poison. Except it's not really a poison because the kid is behind closed doors!
TLHumphrey@Tammy14595273

@EdLatimore @JackNapierNot No Ed you are wrong. The dad did the right thing. There's no way I would want my husband to take our little girl into a bathroom with a bunch of nasty men.

@JustJenRX No he couldn’t. They’re young enough to need help dressing/wiping, which a stranger of any sex should not be doing. However he could have asked the manager if someone could stand at the door to let women know he was in there whilst he took his girls in.

My new hire takes a full hour for lunch every single day. They close their laptop and walk completely out of the building. Yesterday I mentioned that the rest of the team usually eats at their desks to keep the momentum going. I explicitly told them they can do what they want but culture matters. This morning they handed me a formal complaint from HR about toxic work boundaries. I am completely blindsided. I did not tell them they could not eat.
