The police statement on the Derby car ramming describes the suspect as a "Derby man, who is originally from India but had lived in the UK for a number of years". What is a "Derby man", then? Is it just anybody who happens to be in Derby? Does this work everywhere? Were the Luftwaffe who bombed London actually "Dagenham men"?
