In 2020, the NY based MLB moved the All-Star game from Atlanta to protest Ga’s new voting rules SB202. Headlines read, “Jim Crow 2.0, they even banned water for voters in poor areas enduring long lines.” In 2024, 68% of Ga’s eligible voters voted. In contrast, 60% in NY, where the law against the distribution of food and drink is over 100 years old. What did the law actually do?

A Perry Mason moment here between AOC and Lee Zeldin. After Lee Zeldin denies meeting with Bayer to discuss litigation the company was facing, AOC presents visitor logs and emails from Zeldin’s senior advisor stating that Zeldin would be meeting with the Bayer CEO to discuss “legal/judicial issues.” “In this internal email, it says that Bayer was specifically seeking and discussing Supreme Court action, it would want an update on EPA’s regulatory review, and that, interestingly, Bayer will provide a small thanks for updating the glyphosate webpage from the EPA and work on MAHA.”

The Anti-Corruption and Democracy Reform Task Force met today with experts like Brian Lemek of the @DTVPAC to take a hard look at the legislative branch. In the #FightingFifth and across the country, families are struggling to make ends meet—they deserve lawmakers who lower costs, not line their own pockets.

PBMs shouldn’t be standing between patients and the medications they need to survive. It’s time for real, bipartisan action to rein in their control and put patients first.

@SenatorWarnock Because you opted to allow $10MM unvetted unvaccinated, indigent immigrants into the US. We spent literally trillions on humanitarian aid for non-citizens. I would agree with that mission, if you had passed a vote.

Instead of spending $70 billion MORE on ICE, why don't we use that money to help millions of young people buy their first home?

🚨 “WE’RE DONE PRETENDING THIS IS NORMAL” Vani Hari Just Slammed Trump on Behalf of MAHA, Says the Administration is Protecting Bayer/Monsanto: “You cannot tell Americans to eat “real food” while protecting the cancer-causing chemicals sprayed on it. You cannot stand with families and side with one of the most evil corporations in the world. Let's be honest. We wouldn't be here right now if President Trump didn't sign that executive order. We wouldn't be here right now if they weren't inside this building arguing on Monsanto's behalf. We wouldn't be here right now if they didn't submit that amicus brief and that recommendation to the Supreme Court to look at this case when they've lost all over this country. You cannot stand with families and do that.” 👏

Stacy told white women in Oregon that the racist rednecks in Ga were "suppressing votes". They donated. Stacy paid "voter registration" firms to gather and submit voter info. The majority were fictitious. When Ga purged those registrations, NPR and other's claimed it was "due to hyphenated last names that is most common among blacks." Stacy used those planted reports of suppression to raise more money in other states by bashing Ga. "Fair" fight my ass.

Said it for a while but ill say it again. Conservatives think they can cute and pretend Jan 6th never happened bc Democrats have never threatened to return favor. Until Democrats threaten the Conservative Right in the exact same manner, this won't change.
Erick Erickson@EWErickson

The real threat to democracy is the Democratic politicians and progressive activists who keep rooting for the death of the democratically elected President of the United States. This is not a both-sides issue. Leftwing voters have much greater support for political violence. -- James Hodgkinson attempted the mass assassination of Republicans inspired by Dem rhetoric and MSNBC watching. -- Floyd Lee Corkins attempted the mass assassination of the conservative Family Research Council, inspired by the SPLC. -- Two of three would-be Trump assassins had clear progressive views and inspiration from the left. -- The assassination attempt on Brett Kavanaugh was a progressive activist. -- Charlie Kirk's assassin was driving by progressive cultural issues. -- Progressives have attempted to kill ICE and border patrol agents in multiple locations around the country. Contrary to leftwing talking points, the assassin in Minnesota was not actually rightwing, but was a Tim Walz appointee. The Left regularly platforms people calling for political violence, including attempting to normalize Hassan Piker. Protestors *at the WHCD* were holding up signs calling for the murder of Donald Trump. The more progressive one is, the more likely one is to support political violence. The people with the highest propensity to support political violence in this country are highly educated, secular, progressives. Each of the shooters had personal issues, but those people were inspired to violence by claims that Trump is a threat to democracy, he won't leave office, we're in a state of "maximum warfare," etc. ewerickson.substack.com/p/they-are-not…

1.55 million Californians signed the petition for a one-time, 5% billionaire tax. Now the billionaires are using their news outlets to try and convince us that we shouldn't tax them. But Californians won't be fooled. We need to permanently tax the ultra-rich.

“We have to fight like hell.” “No Republican or Democrat can tell you they support MAHA if they vote for chemicals.” Democrat Rep. Chellie Pingree just partnered with Thomas Massie to block Congress from giving Monsanto immunity to mass poison Americans with glyphosate. “Bayer is spending millions of dollars lobbying Congress.” “They care about their corporate bottom line, and that is it.” “If their product makes you sick, they don’t want to pay up and they don’t want to take responsibility.” “They have the money, but we have the people.” “Bayer is back, this time with the full-throated support of the Trump administration at the Supreme Court.” “This administration unfortunately has supported this appeal at the Supreme Court.” “And right now, the other fight we’re in today is that Bayer got Republicans to jam this liability shield into the farm.” “This should not be a partisan issue.” “I have been an organic farmer in Maine since the 1970s.” “No one can tell me or the other farmers here today that we can’t grow food without all of these toxic chemicals.” “Today … the [House] Rules Committee will decide whether the Amendment I co-sponsor with Rep. Massie … will even be allowed for a vote on the house floor.” “It takes the Bayer immunity language out of the Farm Bill, and it lets state and local governments decide how pesticides are used in their community.” “Any Farm Bill that protects chemical companies over American farm families is not pro-farmer.” “It’s not pro-health.” “It’s not pro-America.” “It’s a giveaway to Big Chemical.” @chelliepingree @RepThomasMassie @MassieforKY
