قوات المشتركة تحتجز مساعداً بشرطة مكافحة التهريب وتطلق سراحه مقابل شحنة سجائر مصادرة . أطلقت القوات المشتركة سراح مساعد بشرطة مكافحة التهريب، بعد احتجازه لساعات على خلفية مصادرة شحنة سجائر مستوردة كانت قد ضبطتها شرطة مكافحة التهريب بمدينة كوستي في إطار حملات مكافحة التهريب. عناصر تتبع للقوات المشتركة قامت بإعتراض المساعد واقتياده من مدينة كوستي إلى مدينة الأبيض، عقب مصادرة الشحنة التي قيل إنها تخص جهات مرتبطة بعناصر من المشتركة، الأمر الذي أدى إلى توتر بين الطرفين. جهود وساطة مكثفة تدخلت لاحتواء الموقف، حيث جرت اتصالات ومفاوضات بين قيادات أهلية وأمنية انتهت بالتوصل إلى تسوية تقضي بإجراء عملية تسليم وتسلم لشحنة السجائر المصادرة، مقابل إطلاق سراح مساعد شرطة مكافحة التهريب. المساعد عاد إلى ذويه بعد إتمام إجراءات التسوية، وسط مطالبات بفتح تحقيق رسمي في ملابسات الحادثة والجهات التي تقف وراء احتجازه، خاصة وأن الواقعة أثارت ردود فعل واسعة وسط الأوساط الأمنية والمجتمعية. وتأتي الحادثة في وقت تتزايد فيه الدعوات إلى احترام صلاحيات الأجهزة النظامية ومنع أي تدخلات قد تعيق أداء مهامها في مكافحة التهريب والجريمة المنظمة .
