My stepfather was part of the Verizon layoffs several months ago after 10 years.
He’s a data scientist.
He’s applied everywhere.
He can’t find work.
He has a Master’s from Fordham University.
This is exactly the kind of person we’re told the economy is built for.
Educated. Experienced. Proven.
And yet, he’s being passed over.
While we’re told there’s a “shortage” of qualified workers.
There isn’t a shortage.
There’s a system that would rather replace Americans than invest in them.
And people like him are paying the price.

Removing TPS status for Haitians living in the United States would cost 350,000 workers their ability to work at a time when we’re already facing serious workforce shortages. I’ve heard from healthcare providers and business leaders across Nebraska, including @OmahaChamber, who are concerned about the impact this would have on patient care and our economy. I don’t see the goodness of deporting people who are here legally, working, and contributing to our country.

as a recipient of meal trains after baby's births and other surgeries, I can confirm that 85% of the meals were made by women and a good chunk of those women were working full time. men, you can do these gestures too, even though you have jobs!

Liberals act as if the only reason anyone would want to revoke Haitians "temporary" (15 yrs) protected status is because we HATE Haitians. No, the point is, why does everyone across the globe have to come HERE whenever anything bad happens --
high crime>Move to the US;

tornado>Move to the US;
drug cartels>Move to the US;

Why didn't Haitians walk across the island to the Dominican Republic in the first place?

Haitians first received TPS because of an earthquake. That was over 15 years ago. America is not their permanent motel.

Dear Knights of Columbus, why did the pope attack our President after meeting with the Democrat party leaders? Why did the pope attack our immigration policies when many people have died at the hands of illegal aliens? Why did the 3 cardinals go on 60 minutes and trash the US immigration policies and our President?? Where were all these “Catholic leaders” when the O’Biden regime was persecuting Pro Life Americans??
