RFP: Request for Problems What are your favorite physics problems? Bonus points for QIS/QC related problems that you won't find in any textbook (yet!).

@webdevMason @eigenrobot We deployed the wagon over the course of one week with incredible success. On every subsequent occasion my son (2.5yr) demands to get out and pull his sister (4.5 yr) around. It's great if you don't actually need to go anywhere!

@eigenrobot The closer we get to wagon territory the more I think maybe I'll just be like one of those clearly overbooked dog walkers but with children on leashes

spent $800 on a canopied stroller wagon today so my wife can push the kids around this summer like she's some kind of palanquin-wallah transporting the infantes makes sense locally but how did we end up here

Wife has been out and about with the twins and had a record number of weird or uncomfortable interactions with strangers, this week. One lady kept finding her in the grocery store to talk about her twin brother's death. Today accosted by Some Guy at the hardware store

@QuantumWitness Another good example is the 'Hubbert Pimple." M King Hubbert used modeling to make a prediction in 1956 that peak oil production would occur somewhere 1966-1971. Very close. Then some damnedfool came along and invented a new way to extract oil.

Damn, I wish I had learned about Julian Simon earlier. "He combined a then-recent upturn in prices with the notion that there is a finite amount of mercury on the Earth’s surface, plus the mathematical charm of plotting a second-degree polynomial with the computer."

@pugnacious_polk True. And plotting second-order polynomials on the computer IS quite mathematically charming. And YET

@jwt0625 Not sure. It looks like the qubit chip is bonded to a pcb daughter board so maybe they don't need SC bonds yet? I'll see if I can get a complete set of slides

@jwt0625 I would have loved to see the modeling. They reference their design choices in a separate companion paper that does not appear to be on arXiv yet (ref 22). Imo heat transport at these temp and length scales is way understudied
