🚨 | It’s no secret that not all of the senior engineers have been happy with the comments Hamilton has made this season, nor is it a secret that a certain group of long-established technicians are resistant to changing their ways based on input from someone coming from outside. The same thing happened in Vettel’s time who, unlike Schumacher, arrived from Red Bull without the right support structure around him. Hamilton has already made it clear, in his own way, that he has no intention of becoming the next victim, pushing against the system and shaking things up. Not everything he said was necessarily correct, but from Lewis’s point of view it’s still better than staying passive. 📰 @GiulyDuchessa | @Auto_Racer_it

@dr_obbs I mean it makes sense that they would analyze their strategy with Max in mind

I have to apologize for what I said in my head when I saw Max starting on the mediums and everyone else on the softs. It ended up being a decent strategy. I do think that Max was a part of why that strategy actually paid off in the end. Because they left him with a LOT of work to do on a slow medium surrounded by soft tyre runners, and then ground to make up on a soft charge at the end. Either way, I think they knew that the strategy was risky, but with a special driver, it may pay off.

@Sachinettiyil And you wonder why Hollywood relationships don't last... Basically you go to premieres' and watch your spouse banging another person, and having to smile through it all, acting like you support this behaviour.

Neil McDonough, a devout Catholic actor known for his refusal to do kissing or sex scenes out of respect for his wife, Ruvé, recently made a rare exception—but with a twist. In his latest film, the script called for a kiss at the end, so McDonough convinced his wife to play the role of the woman he kisses. That way, he could stay true to both the character and his convictions. The couple, who have five children together, made the creative decision to preserve his long-standing vow while honoring the demands of the story. McDonough has previously paid a steep price for his moral stance. In 2010, he lost a $1 million role on the ABC show Scoundrels after refusing to perform sex scenes with actress Virginia Madsen. “They said, ‘You have to do it, or you're fired.’ I said, ‘Then fire me,’ and they did,” he recalled. “I was blackballed for two years. I couldn’t find work, and because of that, I lost my big beautiful house in L.A., my shiny Mercedes, everything—including my confidence. It was crushing. People saw me as some kind of religious fanatic. But for me, it was just about doing what I believed was right. And above all, I love my wife. As I’ve said a million times—these lips are meant for one woman.”

@foo_4_thought Ironically, women getting paid the same amount as men would create worse outcomes for women. Because women desire men who earn more than them and are successful, it will just result in a lot of rich, single and unhappy career women.

Jenny-May is a moron. She asked David Seymour how the government is going to close the gender pay gap. Are you going to force women to stop taking a few years off to have kids? Are you going to force women into the trades, a field dominated by men, because we are biologically more suited to physical work? Are you going to force women to work longer hours? Men earn more money for so many reasons that have nothing to do with sexism, & everything to do with biology. Women are attracted to successful men, & men are wired to compete for women. Thats how it is. It doesn’t flow both ways. Men don’t give a f*** what women earn, or how high they can climb the corporate ladder. Give me a beautiful woman that wants to raise my children any day.
