@JasonFitz1 Goal #1: Get fast at 400/800/Mile. Fast is fast and speed translates to all distances. Speed work is also where I am more injury prone, so I would use the coach to get me fast while (hopefully) keeping me healthy.

Let's say someone gifted you a running coach for an entire year. What's the #1 goal you'd want to accomplish?

@Okemahisnotreal @samclementt So an event without a WS winner is some meme coin chad event? Do you even know how stupid that sounds? Haha enjoy you night my man.

@RunLiftandEat @samclementt I really have no idea what it is or who would even run such an event. Any WS or Leadville winners in attendance or was this some meme coin Chad event?

@zbitter I hope Mark is the guy to push him to his limit but Phil seemed untouchable at dead cow gully last year. Sam Harvey with the incredible assist but the time Phil posted on the last yard showed he had a lot more to give.

I cannot wait for Mark Dowdle to keep building. Wins BPN G.1.M. with 304 miles (73 laps) for a new PR and CR at the event. We need to see him and Phil Gore drive this thing past five days.

@samclementt Never heard of it. I think that distinction goes to the Arcadia Track meet this weekend.

@Barefoot_Will_ True hero’s don’t film it for online clout. They do the work then go to sleep and wake up and do it again tomorrow.

Mike Egan, a combat vet, just DNF’d the Go One More Backyard Ultra after 27 hours… in a wheelchair Well at least until his last lap The rain turned the course into a mud pit & his wheelchair wouldn’t move He gets out of the chair & drags himself & the chair through the mud until he literally couldn’t move He ditched the chair & continued to push True hero Definition of grit God bless this man

Long run on a Friday? Why not. Easy 20. No water. No fuel. I believe that’s what the kids today call “raw dogging it.”

As an AD, I’ve learned most parents believe sports teach accountability along with many other lessons. That belief sometimes changes when the accountability affects their own child directly.

@zbitter @JasonFitz1 As a non-traditionally shaped/sized runner, the first 25:00 of this podcast was the best segment I’ve ever heard on the topic. As always great job!

If you can only pick one. What athletic accomplishment are you most proud of for 2025? For me, I have to go with finally running a 1:13 half marathon.

@Brady_H That was my final wake up call out of the longevity/optimization phase. All it lead to was more problems less enjoyment and a probable case of orthorexia

@Dad__Miles The oldest watched more iPad/phone than the other 3 combined. She struggles with picking up on social cues. May be nothing, may be something. But we for sure course corrected when we noticed that pattern

@Dad__Miles My 3rd one is built different, she keeps us on our toes for sure. I wouldn’t describe it as strict or lenient, but there are expectations and standards that my wife and I believe in. We hold ourselves to them, and hold the kids to them as well from oldest to youngest.

@RunLiftandEat A lot of people experience this growing up , do you feel like you are more lenient with the youngest ones so far? Or still close enough to rules oldest one had to follow at 4?

@Dad__Miles Haha Good point. We only make the 10/8/4 year olds order. Let the 1 year old off the hook for that.

@RunLiftandEat Agree, if you're old enough to order your own food , expectations should be higher We're not there with all , single syllable words are still milestones for some in the house 😂
