@Jacobtheclipper Doesn’t look at cool as hitting a buzzer beater. Rather see them drive to a hard layup and try to get the foul

BREAKING: Poilievre in favour of recall legislation when an MP crosses the floor. Huge step in the right direction. We need national recall legislation (not just for floor crossers). Voters are the boss and should be able to fire politicians between elections.

Reporter @jungangela_ called @BCFerries Board Chair Joy MacPhail - but MacPhail said she was on vacation and ended the call. No one associated with @BCFerries would do an interview Sunday. Queen of Surrey lasted 40 min in service after annual refit — then broke down. #bcpoli

@kbessey Do they not get maternal/paternal leave like every other person? That’s when you use up your years of EI….. she thinks they should get full pay in that period as opposed to EI like the rest of us?

6 months paid parental leave for elected officials. I own a very stable, growing, and profitable business and I could not dream of giving this benefit to my employees today. Where are you getting the money from? Where are the supports for the people who actually generate the tax revenue that pays for these benefits?
Christine Boyle@christineeboyle

Bill 18 brings babies in the boardroom 👶 Just kidding, we can’t mandate that (even though we would love to). But I am so proud to bring forward this legislation that will allow parental leave for up to 26 weeks for local elected officials.

@VanIsleInvestor Liberals should be pushing a pipeline through right now. This would be a massive opportunity for Canada to take advantage of any instability in the oil market.

I dont think people realize why Canada should have more pipelines to the coast... It's for emergencies like the current fuel crisis or worse...war for allies. The US understands this and will build more capacity south for just this reason. In times we do not have a crisis, Canadians have the financial benefit in the billions a year. With the building deficits in BC and now Ontario, soon they will have little choice.

@RTNToronto @AlbertaCanada60 There is a zero percent chance this will save anyone money. “If” the groceries are actually cheaper it will be because the city budget is subsidizing it for n the back end. Essentially land owners paying for other people’s subsidized groceries.

@CheriDiNovo So taxpayers will pay to “lower” the prices? Totally seems like a quality plan. Yes groceries might be cheaper at the checkout but all tax payers are chipping in for it.

This is making the food-billionaires crazy so we love it. Hopefully smaller retailers are being helped tho? How about a greater vacancy tax on empty storefronts? (that is greedy landlords)

REITs are hands down better than owning rental properties: - Built-in leverage - Professional managers who work cheaply - Zero work - Instant liquidity - Nice deals in public markets - Diversification - Did I mention zero work? I exited the rental game years ago. Zero regrets.

🚨🇨🇦 They told us the $500M in loans would "protect" Algoma Steel. Today, 1,000 people are getting their pink slips. 🚩 This isn't just a "transition" .. it's a surrender. By failing to navigate the new trade reality in D.C., the Liberals have left Canadian steelworkers out in the cold. First, we lost the top 1% to the U.S. (The Hub report). Now, we’re losing our industrial heart. When does the "winning" start? 🏛️📉 @liberal_party @MarkJCarney #Canada #Steel #Economy #Algoma #MarkCarney #Cdnpoli

With the new EV rebate, you can get a Tesla model Y for $45,000. This is cheaper than a Rav 4. It's crazy. Hard to find a better overall value out there. Unless you really can't charge at home, this should be a no brainer to everyone

@Prominent_Bryan If that's consistent, fair enough... I am somewhat skeptical of that stat though, considering what happens to every other Li-battery powered device that gets daily or near-daily use for a decade. Maybe their fabrication process is just that superior, in which case good on them...

The Wild likely traded away two future stars (Rossi and Buium) ++ to get Quinn Hughes but got a near generational dman in the deal... and were one of the only teams with the assets to pull off the trade. Gotta pay to play. Good hockey trade.
