I just watched Dewsbury Hall on MNF describe Maresca. Firstly, the reason he joined Chelsea was primarily because Maresca had coached him at Leicester, and he was the best player for him when they won the league. So it was not a bad decision for him to move to Chelsea. He described Maresca as a chess player. Very tactical, knows how to read the game a lot.

@shady_killz @DukeDaviddeedee @LKCOYB Is this a news? The Sideways and back pass will always happen to keep low tempo for teams that cannot defend transition multiple times The coach himself knew and said it

Get these boys an A-grade possession coach: — Non-stop fluid rotations/patterns — Passing options close-by at all times — Smaller distances to defend etc And let’s ball out of control ffs. CFC please do not fumble something so obvious…

Garnacho is the one with the best off ball movement. Only Palmer can outscore him given he gets same game time as the rest. Garnacho is also a great carrier, but at the end of his carries, he is tired and doesn't have enough strength in his legs to complete take ons, he needs an overlap or a passing option to play with. Then it allows him to be more effective
Dave@DaveCiaga

Quick question,, among all our wingers why is Garnacho also the one getting into goal scoring position the most???

With Emanuel Emegha coming in, the question becomes clear who drops into the backup role between him and Nicolas Jackson? At this point, it already feels likely that Delap could head out on loan to RC Strasbourg, while Marc Guiu remains around the first team as a developmental option. That then leaves a structural dilemma. The only realistic way to accommodate both Jackson and Emegha in a balance squad is if one of Jackson or Pedro is used in a deeper role potentially as a No.10. Otherwise, there’s simply too much overlap in profiles for them to coexist effectively in a single-striker system.

Enzo Maresca had a 60% win rate over 92 games as a Chelsea manager from July 2024 to January 2026, with 55 wins, 16 draws, and 21 defeats. Meanwhile, Pep Guardiola has maintained a 70% win rate across 550 games at Manchester City, with 411 wins, 89 defeats , 85 draws over 10 seasons. Now do the mathematics 👁️

This was where Arteta lost the plot, your team haven’t won anything in years, then the first shot at a title, he was benching his goalkeeper and they approached it with the mindset of doesn’t matter, that was where the title race changed. If they had won, they will be in firm control of the Title Race, because the dream of quadruple will be alive, football this period of the season is Psychological as much as Talent.

Unfortunately for Man United fans, many think Amorim was bad. They’re about to learn what bad results and bad football really look like. Whatever happens, if Carrick gets the job permanently, I’ll still support my club as always. But don’t forget — we warned you.
Michael@commissionase

You really think a manager with a win rate of 47% at Middlesbrough is good enough to be United's manager long term?? You really don't know the magnitude of this football club.

Such a low iq So anyone who doesn’t want Carrick is basically Amorim supporter Problem is u lot will never move on from the past Anyone who supported Amorim 90% of those have moved on And i dont want Carrick as well for permanent manager Because i want Best in Class like we were told by our board after Amorim was sacked And if u think solution for our success is basically an interim we hired only to finish the season and now want to keep as permanent manager and play counter attacking football in future with less possession against mid table team, then ill see u after 1 year because i am sure u will be the first one crying that Carrick should be sacked and all who doesn’t want Carrick now will still be backing him because we know this board is the bigger problem and run by bunch of clueless ppl We back every united manager because we see the real problem is the owners We don’t want manager to be sacked we want them to be given at least 3 years to get the right player and implement the style of play We need 7-8 signings every summer for next 3 years but all we will get is 3 or 4 signings But if u get a Best in class manager and a top manager then that manager will get more patience from our fans But u see if Carrick has a bad stat of the season lot of fans will start calling him out because we have already seen this movie with OGS

Where was the "magnitude of this club" when you defended Amorim with a 37% win rate at Manchester United despite having players like Bruno Fernandes, Cunha, Mbeumo, Mount, Mainoo, Maguire, Martinez, Casemiro, Sesko and many more? It is harder to get 47% at Middlesbrough in the Championship with less funding than to achieve over a 70% win rate in the Bundesliga at a club like Bayern Munich When Carrick took over at Middlesbrough, they were in a relegation battle with 18 points from 17 games yet he turned things around and qualified the club for the Premier League playoffs. But Carrick is where you draw the line. He will become the manager if the owners decide so and there is nothing any of you Amorim supporters can do about it.

Xabi Alonso's strength is the midfield. I can't talk how highly he will perform with midfielders like Enzo, Lavia, Caicedo and we can even add Barco to it. We will control games for fun and attack teams from every angle. Imagine Palmer in that Wirtz pocket. 🤔 It will pain me if we miss him because the ingredients to cook a perfect Alonso meal is here. We can't mess this up.
