Is your city as cool as Minneapolis?? Minneapolis hosts an annual “Cat Tour.” Neighbors put their cats in the window and crowds show up in droves to admire them and show respect. It’s been going on for 8 years.

“The most precious thing you have here is your optimism—your belief in dreams. It might be the most important thing in the world. Protect it. It’s incredibly rare, and incredibly precious.”
Atelier Missor@AtelierMissor_

We’re about to leave San Francisco and return to Paris. We’ve been deeply moved by the optimism of the people here. Every time we spoke about our grand dream, we were never met with skepticism—only encouragement, and offers to help make it real. We came here to seek funding for our project: a New Statue of Liberty, and to open a foundry in San Francisco. We ended up finding even more support than we had hoped for. Back home, when we tried to find funds, bankers treated us like we were crazy—some were nearly ready to call the asylum (from which we had escaped!). Here, we found backing from venture capital funds like @1517fund and @fdotinc , along with generous benefactors who wrote us substantial checks. It’s an extraordinary feeling to have discovered this city, where everything seems possible. And at the same time, it’s heartbreaking to realize how rare this is elsewhere—this ability to dream. The most precious thing you have here is your optimism—your belief in dreams. It might be the most important thing in the world. Protect it. It’s incredibly rare, and incredibly precious. We hope to return as soon as possible, to open our foundry and begin building!

The Origin of NoReply: When I worked at an edtech startup, I was lucky to be part of a team built on genuine trust and mutual respect. In that environment, even small words of appreciation or personal feedback felt natural—and they had real impact. Morale improved, confidence grew, and a sense of unity formed. But I noticed something: despite the trust, those messages were hard to deliver. Slack and email felt too formal. Timing was tricky. So sometimes, those small but important words were lost. I started to wish for something simpler and more efficiently—a place where I could just leave a few words. Not start a thread. Not trigger a notification. Just quietly drop a thought, a thank-you, or a quick reflection—without turning it into a conversation. That’s why I created NoReply. It’s not for chatting. It’s not for performance. It’s for people who already trust each other—and want to keep that trust alive with simple, non-intrusive communication.

I love to see people looking to solve for better communication & feeling more connected in subtle ways. I also love other founders ;). In my life and in my work, it's clear that things that seem simple can be deeply impactful and clear the way for more effective interactions. ❤️

NoReply is like personal sticky notes people can leave around for their team members without needing to reply to them: for when you're too busy during business hours to convey a message, when you've already spoken but want to provide feedback again, or when you unexpectedly feel like sending a motivational message to a team member.

@ABCWorldNews @MolaReports Explosion sounds had me check out the window & it looked concerning from my view (top floor of @VirginHotelsLV ). Videos posted from the ground don't look as dramatic as what I saw a little closer up, but here they are landing safely. It must have been nerve-wracking onboard.

Alarming video shows an American Airlines jet with flames and smoke shooting out of the engine mid-flight. The plane, bound for Charlotte, took off from Las Vegas and made an emergency landing back at the airport. @MolaReports has details. abcnews.link/iFKfAly

@bgurley I don’t understand anything about tech but it’s the equivalent of a friend with the hottest wife , letting us all enjoy her one night per week (and he still pays for her maintenance)

In the dental industry, dentists, manufacturers, suppliers are all down rev. Our industry is closely tied to employment and employer based dental insurance. It has felt like a recession for the last 2-years. However, when jobs pick back up the first thing people do is go to the dentist. Dental industry returns are a good leading indicator to the strength of employment numbers.

There are an increasing number of data points that would show that the US is in a recession. The reason we can’t see it is the distortion caused by government hiring and spending Countries thrive via its private economy. Not money printer spending by the government. Non farm payrolls today + the revisions to August and September on top of data like this below should be concerning.

Manufacturing jobs tumbled by 46K in October, down for the 3rd straight month and 4 of the past 5. Can't blame that on hurricanes

The consumer has been in a recession for at least 2 years (we saw this at the CPG I run back then). It took me/us a while to figure out why the price was increasingly a reason that consumers were canceling their subscription (dog/cat food). They were trading down due to economic pressure.

I’m convinced staying in the game as a startup founder is a superpower. You need sufficient time to make mistakes and apply the learnings. So when you feel like giving up remember this is where everyone quits. Then keep going.

Absolutely this. Generating hope (or just leaning into/ nurturing/ accepting/ maintaining it) is often a brave and creative act.✨in certain times & places, it’s even an outright act of rebellion. ❤️
David Rowe@mrdavidrowe

'Hopefulness is not a neutral position. It is adversarial. It is the warrior emotion that can lay waste to cynicism. Each redemptive or loving act, as small as you like – such as reading to your little boy... keeps the Devil down in the hole.' Nick Cave.

@vibhanshusharma @agazdecki This part’s so much harder than people think. Urgency/ but same time patience for the accumulation of work to catch up. Easy to stay motivated when you have consistent, reliable results as a reward - harder when there’s no map of what, when & how things begin to come together.

@agazdecki Keep going is the biggest challenge without seeing any result. Having a scary goal might help you to realize that you need longer time to achieve it.

@streleav @agazdecki And bank account.😅 💯what you said. I went hard early, relied on will power alone. Still here, but a bit worse for the wear, just for not taking self care seriously. Daily ups/downs, risks, isolation, pressure, uncertainty etc. - all quietly wear on you w/o you realizing.

I really want everyone to find people and spaces where they're cared for deeply. Not merely performative gestures and speeches for social media, but genuine friendship, companionship, and love that doesn't require you to do anything but be authentic and grow.
