@Abster_1983 @ReelSmartCookie @MamaWeasleyy I'm in the UK, skipped ahead a year at school around the time it came out, so they wouldn't let me get it with my age group! I still do not understand it now.
English

@dvorak360 @markandcharlie @baoigheallain That makes sense. I have business insurance as I have to transport the learners I work with. However my company make us provide proof of cover at start of employment, then again at least once a year.
English

@Tif89 @markandcharlie @baoigheallain Though business cover isn't necessarily hire or reward.
(E.g. I have business cover so that I can drive between office sites or give collegues a lift (without arguing if after work activities are social not business); But wouldn't be insured to do deliveries under it)
English

@BobFromAccounts @acatwhotypes 6 a day is 2555 a year. How does that fit with those stats?
English

@stbeadle1986 @MikeyCycling The fastest cyclist I see locally only has one arm anyway 🤷🏼♀️
English

@MikeyCycling What about you admitting that you ride one handed should the police make you take a cycle awareness course????
English

Sometimes drivers cause a near miss, and if they do that to a camera cyclist, the Met will prosecute them. Drivers like this - let them be in front of you. youtu.be/hBiWcDwe_dU

@mgmatt1983 @fesshole You're allowed to put glass in your recycling? I have to take it down to the bottle bank at Asda.
English

@TomHulme79 That's almost word for word the same letter I took home at school, and my kids have brought home in the past. Absolutely nothing knew, and it is right to respect other people's place of worship. Some people like to make up issues where there are none.
English

@PlasticPlanners @VoxPopuliPleb @gazza_d Long before I could drive I hated dangerous drivers, even more so since I started. Not helped by my parked car being hit twice, and being in a collision with a new driver that's left me with a permanent bad back. Her second at fault collision in her first 6 months!
English

@Tif89 @VoxPopuliPleb @gazza_d Oh I had "I'm in traffic" from an instructor on his phone not that long ago either. Lucky for him, his texting fingers were quicker than my pull out my phone and film him fingers.
Still no shortage of twitter trolls to say it wasn't a problem.

@teppichhai @EmergMedDr I was in a&e this evening (in the UK), only one other patient put a mask on in spite of signs everywhere, and conveniently everyone 'needed' a carer with them, some people even had two people with them and they wouldn't move for patients even when asked. Total entitlement.
English

@EmergMedDr Hope you get better quickly. This is why FFP3 should be mandated in ED at the moment 😷
English

@VoxPopuliPleb @gazza_d This is why the call is for a retest every 10 years, not every 3 or 5.
Could even be via inverted ballot.
Honestly, the amount of "I wouldn't pass my test today" comments I heard over the festive period, I think just the threat of a test would be enough for most drivers.
English

@gazza_d @Stephenpsych Would mean woman who hit me (in my car) was retesting 6 months into driving then. Quite rightly too given that fact! I wholeheartedly believe we should be regularly retested.
English

@Dark_Knight_Vid @richardosman Mansfield lets you sign up for their emails; get a reminder before every bin collection including the less frequent ones like glass.
English

@TaffSpur @CryptoTurtle007 @CitizenUddin Whilst driving is legitimate use. Whilst parked is not. The law also quite clearly differentiates 🤷🏼♀️
English

@TaffSpur @CryptoTurtle007 @CitizenUddin It heats up whilst I'm driving. If I need to then stay in the car it is already warm. My kids manage just fine. Blanket kept in for longer waits. I never said that, there is a difference between legitimate use and sitting polluting when parked.
English

Section 42 of the Road Traffic Act 1988 prohibits leaving your engine on when it is not needed. This act enforces Rule 123 of the Highway Code, which states “you must not leave a vehicle’s engine running unnecessarily while that vehicle is stationary on a public road”.
Walking Marky@CitizenUddin
Windsor Road, Ealing. Residents have had enough of people using our road to park and idle. If it's not bad enough we suffer from mainly @EalingShopping car park users polluting it, @EalingCouncil have failed to crackdown on idling as they promised

@CitizenUddin @TaffSpur Well when I have my kids in a freezing car I couldn’t care less what you say, want or do, I’ll do what I feel is necessary and that is run the car for heating
English

@jaj991 @insp_kevinsmith @SheffNW_NPT The amount of replies to you, missing the fact you're commenting on how much the police ignore it or say it is the councils responsibility, is astonishing.
English

Parking on zig zags outside schools is dangerous - this driver chose to endanger children and the result was £316 in fines and a 3 point driving licence endorsement on 5 dec at Sheffield magistrates court. #opparksafe continues in @sheffnw_npt area

English

@2wheelsnot4 I was thinking about e-bikes as I'd just been talking about them, so answered on the basis of my brain inserting that into the sentence 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️
English

@gazza_d Got one near Mansfield town centre that just decides you aren't waiting anymore and turns light off sometimes. Or does it as you're reaching the central area. If you don't know, you can be waiting ages expecting a green man.
English

@ask_aubry The weight thing; I'm only 5'2 and weigh just over that. Still in healthy range. So taller women will be even less of a so-called whale at the same weight 🤦🏼♀️
