while it feels like much of the timeline/meta has revolved around memecoins, here are some things i’m seeing right now in consumer that feel genuinely exciting to me: - new agentic behaviors and actions leveraging smart contracts and crypto rails; the ability for agents to transact and participate in the real economy - verticalized onchain social networks (focused on food, sports, fitness). i firmly believe the next strava, goodreads, nextdoor, yelp will be onchain - minting as a business model becoming mainstream - the rise of completely onchain distribution tools (daylight, torque, interface, zora) - open edition nfts becoming tradeable erc20s... with a potential for uncapped virality (depending on the minted moment/artifact) on top of that, telegram/line miniapps and farcaster frames make it easier for devs to bootstrap initial users and distribute new products to crypto users before even launching a full-fledged mobile app. aka we’re going to see whole lot more experimentation !!

💡 The crypto and digital native nature of the Zoomer generation is the most discounted factor in the crypto asset conversation People still believe that the curtain will get pulled back eventually and then crypto will just magically fade out of style Consider: at the @MBC_Conference at the University of Michigan this last weekend (35-40 university blockchain clubs represented), I encountered: - a university blockchain club voting on @Uniswap governance on behalf of @a16z - numerous clubs that run their own crypto investment funds - several clubs running validator nodes on Ethereum and other networks - a guy who started working for a crypto hedge fund when he was 16 - full time students simultaneously working full time for crypto projects - relentless degens who've been trading memecoins relentlessly the last 12 months Good luck convincing them that it's all smoke and mirrors 🤷‍♂️ Shout to to @Evsolomon5 and Michigan Blockchain for putting this event together!
