I think about this all the time. Do I want to marry an "intellectual equal" who shares some of my interests, whom I can have dEeP cOnVeRsAtiOnS with? Or do I just want a sweetheart who is good with me and good with kids, and easy to get along with? Sometimes I crave the former, but other times the latter seems simpler. I'm not so sure a male/female relationship requires a profound intellectual connection to thrive. I often think the reverse might be true, as small ideological rifts can become more pronounced and get in the way.

Understand how female sexuality works. If you're making out every night, you have a chance at sex every night. If you whine about it not leading to sex, you won't get more sex. You'll lose your nightly chance at sex. Act according to what you want, not how you wish things were.

@SlumRNA_Dog Well yes men get married for the primary purpose of not having to "work" for sex and women get married for security. Whether or not he actually gets sex more easily or she gets provided security is another matter.

The (typical) difference between the married man and married woman experience is that married women get to have sex whenever they feel like it while married men get to have sex whenever their wife feels like it. That gap between those experiences is the source of “frustration.”
