@DananTwit @GayBearRes I mean if the tradeoff for being perceived as an asshole was offering your orifices for at best tolerated sex whilst having your own interiority ignored wouldn't you just say you're not in the mood too?

@bacchal65965 @GayBearRes Both spouses have a duty make themselves enthusiastic, though. A lot is unsaid in this discussion. A husband mad at his wife for not "putting out" when her mom's sick in the hospital is an asshole. A wife blocking every attempt with a blanket "I'm not in the mood" is one, too.

@DananTwit @GayBearRes I said "regardless if they're in the mood or not" It's on you if you're okay with fucking an essentially unenthusiastic partner. Bit weird but I'm not in your shoes walking through a valley of death.

@WendyRWang Do you tell women that the number one person who is likely to harm them physically or otherwise is an intimate partner/spouse? It's one thing to say men's protector role shouldn't be dismissed, but the fact remains that a woman's partner is the one most likely to harm her.

The economic incentive for marriage has declined for women. Young women now earn about as much as young men, and in half of U.S. marriages, women are equal or primary breadwinners. So what still draws women to marriage? My research find that a majority of young women, including liberal Gen-Z women, say men should protect women. And single young women are four times more likely than married young women to report feeling physically unsafe. Men's protector role shouldn't be dismissed. Feeling safe and protected is significantly linked to women's happiness and a range of other well-being measures. My latest piece in @washingtonpost, data from @FamStudies @BYUWheatley survey via @YouGov: washingtonpost.com/opinions/2026/…

@benjamin_horne Why are you assuming a high IQ woman wouldn't agree with you and is bad with kids? Why assume a retarded "sweetheart" wouldn't annoy or bore you in other ways? It seems like youre just making assumptions

I think about this all the time. Do I want to marry an "intellectual equal" who shares some of my interests, whom I can have dEeP cOnVeRsAtiOnS with? Or do I just want a sweetheart who is good with me and good with kids, and easy to get along with? Sometimes I crave the former, but other times the latter seems simpler. I'm not so sure a male/female relationship requires a profound intellectual connection to thrive. I often think the reverse might be true, as small ideological rifts can become more pronounced and get in the way.
Simon Sarris@simonsarris

I don't believe a single intellectual guy wants an unintelligent girl. The more the better. But at the same time, softness is starting to seem all the more rare

@TheEcho13 Meh I just ask men how they'd like it if a hyper-horny power top wanted to peg them daily in exchange for the leaves being raked and maybe a half-hearted "you're so sexy" and they all say no!

“Withholding sex” is one of the most revealing phrases men use, because it assumes sex was already his and she’s refusing to release it. Watch what usually comes before it. He did the dishes. He paid a bill. He quoted religion. He acted sad. He found a dozen ways to frame her body as the reward for his effort. But the question is simple. Did she want him in that moment? If the answer is no, she wasn’t withholding. She didn’t have desire to give. She was angry, hurt, exhausted, disconnected, repulsed, unseen. And women have been so trained to believe refusal is cruelty that they’ll force themselves through sex they don’t want just to avoid being called abusive. That is the sickness underneath the whole argument. Men call it “withholding” because “she doesn’t want me” requires self-reflection. “Withholding” lets him stay entitled.

@DananTwit @GayBearRes I mean yeah you can try fixing a lack of sex desire with positive affirmations (lmao). See how far that takes you I was just saying it's more important to be emotionally available regardless if they're in the mood or not.

@bacchal65965 @GayBearRes You could just turn around it to "if my partner wants it then I want it" and it would be an equally valid framework (but result in a healthy sex life). Self-imposed misery.

@bacchal65965 @RealDianeYap It is because when it comes to gym it actually follows rules of logic and it is pretty simple cause and effect. Relationships (Especially ones with women) have little to no connection to either.

Understand how female sexuality works. If you're making out every night, you have a chance at sex every night. If you whine about it not leading to sex, you won't get more sex. You'll lose your nightly chance at sex. Act according to what you want, not how you wish things were.
emily may@emilykmay

there's a sex therapist who has a ritual of making out with her husband every night before bed, and so many of the comments on her posts are some version of "but what if he gets turned on and I don't want to have sex" and i need men to understand and prioritize non sexual touch.

i find the idea of being basically a sex slave to a husband arousing at best and tolerable at worst, because i imagine myself marrying somebody id be very attracted to, im not sure who these internet women are marrying that the idea of duty sex makes them want to kill themselves

@TheEcho13 Maybe the unwillingness is the point? Maybe half the arousal and power trip IS making her have coerced sex and the whole "duty" thing is plausible deniability of being a complete psychopath? It wouldn't surprise me if most of these men actually get off on hurting their wives

@SassySouthBlond If a woman does her contracted job and gets paid for it she's "serving men" and is a bad option for wife but if a man goes to work for another man he's simply "providing for his family".

Nothing sells feminism better than men publicly comparing themselves to their wives’ bosses. Women fought for equality because too many men genuinely believe husband means supervisor.

@poutypierrot "maintaining hotness is extremely time consuming" is a sunk cost fallacy. If it really does consume *most* of your free time I'd argue you aren't that hot and whatever beauty gains you're getting from that are miniscule. True hot wakes up that way.

I don't think most men understand that hot women literally don't have time to have many hobbies because maintaining hotness is extremely time consuming. there are so many autistic females whose special interest is being hot.

@HailPopePXII @hollowearthterf Priests do not have complete authority over nuns lol. They report to their Mother Superior, who in turn reports to the local bishop (as do priests). Nuns aren't clergy and therefore aren't bound by clerical vows, which includes "obeying" male priests.

A man cannot and should not try to lead a woman who does not want to be led. He must leave her to suffer the consequences of her choices. If she is brave, she will confront her fears to fulfil her destiny. If she is a coward, she will fortify her ego until it’s too late for her.

@SlumRNA_Dog Well yes men get married for the primary purpose of not having to "work" for sex and women get married for security. Whether or not he actually gets sex more easily or she gets provided security is another matter.

@american_screed @idyllicmusing A "guy with a job" vs a "guy who can survive conditions surrounded by multiple other dangerous men" are indeed two different things. One is actually more value in the short term and it's not the guy putting in 80 hours. Don't shoot the messenger.

When a man acts highly dominant, his sexual attractiveness spikes with over 99% statistical certainty, but his personal likability completely craters with a brutal 99.9% certainty. The data shows this is a total one-way street. When women act dominant, it has an absolute 0% impact on how attractive men find them. And there is a strict limit for the guys, too… The exact second a man crosses the line from being a confident leader into being aggressive, mean, or a bully, his entire attraction bonus completely vanishes.

Bir erkeğin baskın (dominant) olması, kadınlar için cinsel çekiciliğini artırıyor; ancak beğenilirliğini düşürüyor.
